I got this for a trip that we're taking coming up here in September. My initial impression is that it looks like a great bag. I love that it's nice and compact. It appears to be high quality, the stitching is nice and sturdy & the bag feels nice and sturdy.Since, I have not really tested it out but will be most likely testing it out in September since I'm sure we will be coming back with more than we left with since we're going to another state for a wedding and will be there for a few days. If there's any feeling of flimsiness or unsure that the bag will hold what we're coming back with I will update this review.But based on my initial look over of the bag and knowing that it is a name brand and quality made bag I expect it will hold up nicely.While I personally feel it's a little overpriced, I've never really looked into these bags before. From what I understand this is the average price for these bags. So with knowing that I would still recommend this bag.

TUMI makes great bags - we have several of them so we were pretty excited to try this one out. It just happened to arrive the day we were packing for a short 2 day trip so it was perfect timing - and it worked out perfectly, too!Here's what we love about it:1. It comes folded very small but looks can be deceiving because this thing holds a LOT of stuff! It is perfect for a weekend trip for 2 people and you will still have plenty of room for souvenirs or anything extra you pick up along the way.2. I have been on many trips where I have bought things and ended up buying a cheap duffle from a big box store, only to toss it out when I get home. This bag will completely eliminate that, as it's the size of a folded pair of pants - so you can throw it in your suitcase and have it ready if you plan to buy a lot of stuff while you are gone. ***Pro tip: if you are going on a cruise to Alaska, you will most likely need an extra bag unless you happen to bring another very large suitcase. I've been twice and both times, I've had to buy a suitcase LOL because you'll definitely find some nice, UNIQUE things to bring home there.)3. It's a TUMI. Not much more needs to be said about that. These bags are expensive, yes, but it's for a reason. They are VERY well built...nicely stitched...and they LAST. This bag meets that quality standard to a T. It's a tough bag which is exactly what you want and expect from a TUMI.4. It's a very nice looking bag! Classic black with accents (we got the gunmetal, as that matches our other suitcases)5. Nice tough zipper keeps this thing shut when you want it to be.6. Has shoulder straps in addition to handles, for versatile and easy carrying.7. Side pockets make it easy to stash things you need quick access to.8. It has a flap to slip over a roll on suitcase too, which is VERY helpful when you have more than one bag and it's just you carrying things.Overall, again, this bag is pricey, but it is absolutely, positively worth every penny and then some. This will be the last duffel bag you will ever need to buy, because it is certain to do the job, do it well, and last for a loooong time. I highly, HIGHLY recommend it! Would make a wonderful gift for anyone who travels frequently, too!

Instead, I have Tumi’s “Just In Case” Duffel, which is a lightweight (a little over a pound) duffel, measuring about 10" x 19" x 10”, that I can fold flat to be completely packable in my main luggage. I do this using the included small zip pouch, which allows me to store the duffel, inside, which I then easily store inside my larger bag "just in case" I need that duffel to fill-up, say for snacks to bring home for friends, family, and co-workers. It’s genius. Better yet, it’s a Tumi, a bag that has exceptional quality, unparalleled durability, and the Tumi brand ready to honor their commitment to quality (limited warranty).Everything about this is classic Tumi, it’s a work of craftsmanship. This duffle, made of a ballistic type of nylon, has a rich, deep black color. The duffel is sturdy and thick, but not so stiff that it’s difficult to fold. This duffel features a water and stain resistant coating that likely will increase the life of the duffel’s fabric. The material feels nice. Everything about this has rugged elegance, every seam is perfect, there is not a thread out of place.I wanted luggage that is sturdy, durable, has a high tensile strength, a history, a pedigree, and level of sophistication, this Tumi duffel has exactly that.Some people are skeptical of the value of a Tumi bag, I am not.
