Made my pressure cooker cook like new again.
I was hesitant to buy this as my old gasket was black in color and I wasn't sure this would work (because it's blue and I thought perhaps it was for a different style or model), though the size seemed right. I had been having problems with my pressure cooker (steam escaping around the rim mostly) that was most frustrating. Though my old gasket looked OK, I took the gamble and decided it was worn out. Glad I did. Now it works like a charm.

Gasket. 22cm
Gasket fitted and tested, all ok. Seems to be original make, has number inside. The model number for the size of the rim is on the inside of the gasket if in doubt ( e.g.1501 for 22cm ). Order with confidence.

Kuhn Rikon gasket for pressure cooker
I'm not sure what expectations I am to have of what is effectively a rubber ring designed for a purpose for which it works most effectively until it ultimately perishes. I am not impressed with Amazon charging £6 for packaging, having been told the item is £17 but Amazon are selling it for £11, postage is free, then when you check out the cost is £17! What harm could possibly befall a rubber ring which is designed to withstand high temperatures by sending it in an envelope in the post? If I could have bought this item in a shop I would happily have done so, without having to re-create a password, but it seems John Lewis and Lakeland do not stock spare parts and my only hope was to buy it on the Internet. In future I will contact Kuhn Rikon direct as it would surely have cost no less to have it sent from Switzerland.

A good quality item
Having had the Khun Rikon pot for fifteen years or more, the seal finally gave up. This replacement from Amazon is in place and has given the pot back its usefulness. Should be good for another 15 years.

Kuhn Rikon Need to get their Product Info sorted
I have a pressure which measures 24cm in diameter so ordered a 24cm replacement gasket to fit.... The numbers on the gasket were unreadable so reasonably assumed that a 24cm pan wuld take a 24cm gasket. WRONG!! NO!!! It takes a 22cm gasket.. This one..Crazy.

new seal works well
what is there to say? It's a pressure cooker seal and it works, my pressure cooker now seals again and doesn't leak at all! It's the item that I ordered and appears to be the 'genuine' article, as described. It was sent quite promptly - really there isn't much to say. I did wonder about doing a video review but there's a limit to the number of pictures of a pressure cooker seal that might hold the viewers attention.Overall, this pressure cooker seal seals well.

Not needed afterall but kept it
I ordered it and then found out it wasn't this that was leaking. I'd undone the middle part on the lid to wash it - but hadn't screwed it up properly before using it again. I've kept it anyway - although I've had the pressure cooker over 3 years and it's been great to use with no problems
