Our Friend Moon (Full Circle Books)

My grandson is two years old. He is fascinated by the moon, so I was thrilled when I could buy him a picture book in the shape of a moon. We have over 500 children’s books in our house, but this book has become his favorite since receiving it in July. He wants it read to him every evening and he wants it placed on his nightstand when he goes to bed.

Bought this for our 10 month old. He likes space pictures, planets, and the moon. At first he was confused by the round book, until I opened it wide and held it above him. Then it clicked and he got really happy, reaching for it like he reaches for his solar system mobile. He picks it up and holds it out in front of him now. Very cute!

Sweet, simple educational story book for babies and toddlers. Unique design. I bought this book to go with a moon themed baby gift and it was perfect.

I recently got two copies of Lea Redmond's beautiful Moon book and gave a copy to my grandson, who is 2 1/2 years old, and a neighbor's son who is nearly as old. They both love the moon and each recently got a flashlight that projects the moon on the walls, the ceiling, and best of all the floor, where they both love to go "dancing on the moon". Lea's book adds yet another dimension to the joy in the moon dancing and moon dreaming they both so much enjoy. The quiet turning of the pages and considering the hiding of the moon is a dreaming time into sleep after all that dancing! A beautiful book and story.
