Having spent some time researching smart scales and rejected a supposed market favourite after learning that its smartphone app wanted access to just about everything on my phone, I opted for this scale.It's a smart looking unit, compact but still large enough to accommodate my size 10 feet.It has to be charged on arrival for two to three hours. It comes with a USB-A to USB-C charging cable but no mains adapter - which isn't an obstacle for most people as they'll already have one kicking around the house. Of course it can also be charged from any standard powered USB port which are found everywhere these days, including on PC's, laptops and even gaming consoles - or you could even use a power bank.The display is bright, clear and pleasing to the eye.The app works really well - almost.You can install the Slimpal app on a single smartphone, set up sub-accounts on the app for each person who will use the scale and have each person's measurements sent to the respective sub-account on that single phone.Alternatively, each person can install the Slimpal app on their own smartphone and have the scale automatically recognise their measurements and send them to their own phone - but this doesn't always work seamlessly.I'm in touch with Slimpal support about this and they've been incredibly responsive.For now what we are doing is switching off bluetooth on all but the phone belonging to the person who is standing on the scale until they've received their measurements. It's a minor inconvenience for now but a reasonable workaround.The person taking measurements opens the app and tells it to connect to the scale, at which point the app asks them to stand on the scale and the measuring process happens and results are sent to the connected phone - pretty simple.It will be nice if Slimpal can streamline this process, or tell me where I'm going wrong, but not essential. At this present time they've asked for my app login details so that they can look at the logs on the back-end, which is very pro-active and thoroughly decent of them.I'm really pleased with my purchase. The number of metrics, level of detail and logging over time on the app is probably far greater than most people would wish for.I would have no hesitation in recommending this product.

I purchased the scales after talking to my dietician.I decided that I should purchase a set of electronic scales due to being required to submit a fortnightly reading after a sustained period of ill health.I downloaded the brand's app on Google and tried to follow the instructions.I eventually got a reading and with time I think that these scales will prove invaluable.

I have been looking for a good set of scales that have comprehensive health monitoring capabilities, is this the one?I am just starting on my health journey so this is very timely to be able to use and review these scales.The scales are presented very nicely within the box. The whole unit feels substantial and well-made compared to some of the scales I have used in the past.I love the shape and appearance of the unit it looks high quality. Setting the unit up was extremely easy and quick using the app from the Play Store. I loved being able to use the guest mode and having my statistics held only on the phone and not in the cloud (not sure why anyone would want to know how fat I am, but there you go).Once stood on the unit I was prepared for it to say 'one at a time' but thankfully not. The display is a good size and bright to see it clearly. I was impressed at the speed of the reading my vitals.The information that this scale provides is comprehensive and I am yet to go through all the data and understand how they relate to my health (this is my only negative as it would be very useful to give a full background to the data)This is early days with this unit and I will edit my review as the journey continues. I will try to make a comparison to another scale to confirm accuracy.Another plus is a 2-year warranty according to the book.

Great idea, bit fiddly to useThe scale itself is really clear and syncs easily to app. Body fat % not particularly accurate though.

My old electronic scales finally died so it was time to upgrade to some smart ones - save me manually entering my weight into a tracking app every day! These went above and beyond - the app is full of information, it syncs so so quickly (and the scale is very light and stable) and it actually talks to my Fitbit! It is accurate to 2 decimal points (when weighing in kg) which is useful for spotting incremental change. You can have more than one person/profile on the app, and you won’t be mistaken - this screenshot shows a prompt I saw (after eating huge American portions and snacks on a business trip for a week!) to double check I’m the same person haha. The app has lots of information but you may need to click through a few screens to get the view you want. I have been frustrated at times to see different data and comparisons, only to realise it’s available one screen deeper! Would recommend!
