At least the 1st machine cooled and blew cool air, even if it started leaking after a couple weeks of use.On new machine, flaps don’t automatically open like described, only opens manually at bottom of flaps.Machine does not blow cool air even with frozen blocks and full of water.Save your money and look elsewhere. This blows at 79-81 f even with ice in top and machine at max full of water.

First off the thing does what it needs to. However it does make the room very humid. I'm in Wisconsin and it raised the humidity in my apartment from the usual 35 percent humidity to close to 70 after one night of use on low. It did keep the bedroom cooler but that humidity was just too much for me. Set up was easy and the ice packs that came with it were decent. It is pretty loud but that part didn't bother me as it saved me having to use a white noise machine. If your climate works with the humidity it's definitely worth a look.

Well I know I bought this air cooler over a year ago while I was living in Phoenix, it was meant to be a backup in case my air conditioner broke down, but then I moved to Washington State recently and I don't have an air conditioner here, so I opened it today because it is very warm here, but I noticed that it was not supplied with the ice crystal boxes as mentioned 😞😞😞 Not happy about that🌟

110 outside, a/c on 80, and this cooler next to my bed was perfect for sleeping. also like the gurgling sounds from the water. however, after 1 week usage, I now noticed my soaking wet carpet. I moved the unit onto my tiles to monitor for leakage and it seems sporadic. i am going to return this item as I've noticed others had the same issue with leakage.PRoS: works great next to my bed. blows a lot of cool air! water tank last through whole night even on highest setting.CONS: I has major leakage. :( and it might be too noisy for those who need a quiet space to sleep.would rate 5 star if I didn't have the leak.

Has a rubber flimsy plug in back my balko doesn't have which leaked all over my floor. I tried to start it afterward n did not work properly. When I plugged in it started running on cool no water so unplugged. No button or remote working. Just an email to go to no number either. Then AMAZON told me I don't need label to return but instructions said so. Just place outside. Chased ups truck down in my apts n he said I needed it. But, he put down refused pkg. So he could take it. I was crying all my money went on it so I needed refund rt away n he felt sorry for me n took it without label to return it...checking refused pkg. I already know I want I want so I chose money to go to account. Window kit with hoses so I can roll my whynter ac back n forth from living room to bedroom n hook up. Wonderful acs. Balko awesome too. Never sent anything back in my life so I was confused n just listening to others.
