Monet: The Essential Paintings

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING
The quality of the reproductions and the entire presentation in the slipcase are beautiful. I keep the book open on a table and every morning I turn one page ... throughout the day I pass by and take a look ... I always feel a sense of awe and calm. It is amazing that a book can do this just by glancing at one of the paintings. I am overjoyed by this purchase. It has its very own meditative quality for me. Maybe for you!

Stunning pictures
Stunning paintings and it's so nice to be able to flip through the book without words and paragraphs getting in the way. There is an informative booklet that comes with it to provide that information without taking up space on the pages of the paintings.

Gorgeous, but I like less reading in art coffee table books
Print was gorgeous, jacket was too. There was a LOT of text, like taking a Monet graduate level-art class. Returned it though as my sister has asked for a Van Gogh book. Thank heavens I remembered as I was flipping through. Ha.

Superb!
Super fast. Super new. Quality is top notch, as if I bought it from a high-street book store. And all three books arrived at my doorstep 5 days earlier than estimated.

I love this book!
The media could not be loaded. It is so easy to view each painting without a need of extra hand to keep the book open. Each painting takes the whole page and It comes with a small booklet for intro.

Must have for Art Lovers
I bought this for a gift. My friend who is an art lover absolutely loves it. It has lot's of photos and a small booklet explaining what all the photos are about. Looks absolutely amazing.

Love this idea to see the work of an artist.
We already have the Vincent book and love it. We knew we would love this one too. And, we do. Great idea and hoping more books will be made for other artists. Would love to see JMW Turner's work in this way.

the book itself is already a piece of art
the cover has th texture quite similar to canvas and the layout is a bit tricky and need to be flipped with high level of care. The colour is so vivid and you can see the stroke and texture. I guess the editor selected the version he/ she liked most in each series (which is the favourite one of mine too!) I did struggle as there is something I don't like. To cater the shape of the "book"-open page to be rectabgular, the photo of the paintings were cropped. for instance, a "Houses of Parliament, London, 1900-1903, 1933.1164, Art Institute of Chicago" - original was more like a square but was cropped substantially, the bottom part - the shadow in River Thames and became a rectanglar version. It's so beautiful. I think I will keep it as the colour of the photo are a lot more genuine than another version which contain a 100 times of his work.
