This is a strong metal gadget, clearly marked and very useful. I was disappointed though that the centimetre markings are only conversions of inches. I.e. both are marked on one line. So you get 1.3, 1.6 , 2.5 cm etc rather than 1,2,3. It would not have been practical, I can see, to do that with the inclusion of curves on one side, straight lines on the other. There would be too many lines. There are centimetre rulers along the edges on one side and inches on the other. Excellent tool if you are working in inches with a good selection of the imperial measurements normally used in sewing.

Just started sewing again and found this very handy it is of a reasonable weight and so holds the material well while measuring and marking. I am pleased should last me years

Really easy to use and very helpful, although you have to watch your fingers as it can get hot!It has metric rules on the edges but all guides across are in inches so I have added some of my own as I am turning in cms

Bought to make hemming easier, so will be a useful addition to the sewing equipment. Arrived on time and no problems does as you would expect and able to iron over as it is metal.

This is one of the basic tools needed for sewing, it makes folding fabric for a hem very easy. It can fold over in a straight line or on a curve either by hand or using a small iron. I also use it for drawing lines and lines at right angles. It is a lot bigger than perceived by the photographs and has an easy ruler along the bottom and one edge, measurements are in inches and centimetres. It is also useful for measuring the position of the needle from the side of the foot for accurate sewing.

Not as useful as I thought it would be as it's quite slippy against the fabric. Doesn't feel very substantial. Have only used it a few times and wouldn't buy it again if I had known beforehand

Very easy to use. Made inserting a lapped zip much more accurate as I could iron the required seam allowance directly on to the hem gauge. Don't know how I ever managed without it.

This little gadget is quite useful making baby blankets. The gems are straight and not crooked. It helped make my projects look professional.

Tolles Teil aus Edelstahl und daher sehr stabil. Ich verwende es sowohl zum Markieren als auch mit meinem Rollschneider. Klappt prima. Einziger Kritikpunkt: die Markierung ist in Zoll, nicht in mm.
