The Barbie dolls better than my daughter remembers

Lovely doll, nice face and hair. Flexible joints. The plastic part of box was slightly cracked (could have been damaged during transit). A gift for my daughter, so have not unwrapped it yet. Plastic on feet looks like it is not too smooth. But not too bothered about that. Overally very happy with it.

This doll is really lovely, and such a very nice face, so good to have a doll that is very posable.The only down sides are that her hands are to spread out so dressing/undressing takes a little time, and she is very broad shouldered ((arent we all(well some of us are)) - so a little worried that with her being a Barbie doll will have to be careful with purchasing outfits that fit or on the the large side, as the standard Barbie doll clothes could be a little tight - just like life - clothes made to fit certain bodies and not others!

When you get a working one, these are fab. I have bought 3 of these in the various hairstyles. The articulation is great for this kind of doll however... I had to return two as they had faults. First one had two left feet, litterally, which amazon replaced. The second one that was faulty had an issue on one of the joints and couldn't bend her arm at the elbow at that point I gave up on getting more and they refunded me. Not Amazon's fault, they wouldn't know and its only when u got the doll out of the packaging it became obvious.Just check ur doll carefully before opening the packaging and then check its all working before you hand it to a child.As I say its a quality control at the factory end, not Amazon's fault, Amazon have been great with sorting out the problem, I just got fedup with faulty ones. I would be cautious about gifting this to a youngster, as ending up with a faulty one that had to go back could be upsetting for them, had it been a special birthday gift. Sadly its the kind of packaging that you have to destroy to check it, so there wouldn't be a way for someone to check without it being obvious it had been opened.I think if you had a younger child who was 'heavy' on toys ie great at breaking stuff, go for other barbies with less joints, the ankles are skinny so if they were 'walking the doll along' ie stabbing it into the ground , as kids do for doll walking then the ankles prob wouldn't take too much of that. Neither would the wrist and elbow joints take well to being being held by just one hand. so this is one I'd give to an older child who could understand the limitations of such things.

She is one of the white skin shades made to move body that u can body swap. I bought them strictly for that. This shade works well for many dolls but be carefull at skin shade this one is white..but more creamy than the articulated redhead doll with blue yoga rug and girl power top. She is fully posable and i am so happy i finally afford to buy her at a normal price from amazon. After almost 2 years, i could buy her at normal price like the other mtms. Hope they will still leave her on sale! Thanks !

This item turned up when it was due to, thanks Amazon.The doll is okay, the joints are stiff and I shouldn’t imagine they are overly durable. The hair is terrible, it’s shabby and looks like a child has given it a haircut.This Barbie (mine at least) does not bend into the same positions you see pictured and I am convinced if I tried to put her hand to her face it would snap off, either at the elbow or wrist.Can’t expect much for a cheap Barbie but I hoped for it to be a little more impressive, hopefully my little one will enjoy it just the same. Perhaps my expectations were to high to begin with.
