Beautiful, quiet, but hire a smart, creative electrician unless you know what you’re doing.
Absolutely beautiful fan and amazingly quiet. Installation instructions should be much more specific and better written. For instance, the instructions say to simply attach the blades using the provided screws, but there are also flat washers and lock washers provided with the screws and the instructions don’t mention or show them in the diagram. They are very necessary. I ended up placing a lock washer and then a flat washer on each screw before inserting them. That seems logical, but I won’t know for sure unless the blades start coming loose. One odd design choice: the plate that mounts to the ceiling box has four foam/rubber bumpers on the side that goes against the ceiling. That’s to be expected. However, the foam is so close to the center of the bracket that all of it ends up inside the ceiling box, where it does absolutely nothing. I think these should be placed closer to the perimeter of the plate, so they can sit against the ceiling. OK, another odd thing: the mounting plate has a green grounding pigtail which the instructions don’t mention (they mention a ground coming from the motor housing, but that doesn’t exist). Someone who doesn’t understand how to ground a fixture might be confused. Overall, though, seems to be very well made and worth the price. OK, OK, one more thing: you HAVE to use the remotes to control the fan. Which means batteries to replace. And they’re ugly, but you can hide them and confuse your guests. They do offer 6 speeds and the ability to change directions on the remote, which is really nice.

So nice we bought it twice
Don't be fooled by imitations. There are cheap look-alikes available, but this is the fan to buy. It is completely silent except for the sound of the wind it generates. And on highest speed, that's a lot! This fan has six speeds going forward and six in reverse! It comes with both a wall remote and a handheld remote. Had the first fan installed by a professional because he was here doing other electrical work. But when we decided two years later to buy another, it was easy for my husband and his friend to install. The fan looks as beautiful as it works, and it's WORTH EVERY PENNY. Buy this fan.

Gorgeous Fan! Expensive but not like anything else out there!
Wow, this fan is really gorgeous! And it's a ceiling fan! Really! We hired an electrician to do some other work and he installed this for us. And believe me, he was impressed. The blades are wood - not plastic. We have very traditional mahogany type furniture and this blends in quite nicely so I would say it can go ultra modern or traditional. Not having that big old light hanging down in the middle of the room anymore is delightful. This takes up hardly any space and yes, when it's on, you feel it. We have not taken it above #2 yet and there is plenty of "wind" for sleeping. It is incredibly quiet. The wall switch has no wires - it's only needs a battery so there is no wiring to be done at the switch. Just pop it into where you used to have a fan switch. The remote is quite handy. We are going to use command strips to attach it to the nightstand as they are removable. The gal at the lighting place told me that 3 blade fans actually move more air than 5 blades and now we believe it. Yes, it's expensive. More that we thought we would pay for a ceiling fan so we hope it lasts a long, long time like our old Casablanca.

Love the fan, but not the price
I love the contemporary style; I love how quiet the fan is; I love how much air it moves. I bought three of these fans for my home in SW Florida, where a good ceiling fan is everything! When I went to buy three more to replace the bedroom fans, I discovered that they have almost doubled in price since my previous purchase two years ago. $700-$800 per fan is crazy. I will be looking for a knock off.

Love it
This fan is what dreams are made of. Stylistically, it's beautiful. Functionally, it's flawless. Hubby also said it was incredibly easy to replace our existing fan with this one. This one doesn't have assembly other than attaching the blades. The best part of all? It blows air from all settings perfectly --- and quietly.

Grinding noise. Should be silent for this price!
Having a terrible time with this fan. Incredibly loud. So disappointing because I love the look. The fan blades aren’t even and there’s no way to adjust them. Motor sounds like it’s hitting something and grinding. Plan to return. Not purchased at Amazon, but through Lighting Merchant. I hope I can return without worry.

Beautiful and functional
I’ve had this model installed in my last two homes and love it. Quiet, looks so nice and not like your typical ceiling fan. It puts out a great amount of air flow. Everyone who sees it compliments me on it. Highly recommend! PS. I’ve also purchased the model with the light and didn’t like that nearly as well. If you’re on the fence - go with this one and add floor lamp or have can lighting installed.

Color not as expected
The walnut blades in some picture look like a dark brown but I got a rather bright orange. Rather disappointed. It does NOT fit the house. A good part of the price is the aesthetic and it failed there. Wish I could get replacement blades that fits the color expected (dark brown and NOT orange)
