they add class and style to my ride but........
I cant say I don't like it because that's not true. Its shiny especially after I treated it with a care product and the bags improve the look and style of my bike, especially considering the former bags I had. This bag set seems durable from a standpoint of what would be perhaps the minimum industry standards. I might venture to criticize the design as nearly perfect aside from the plastic just not winning my trust over. I suggest they offer a heavier, more industrial strength plastic latch without sacrificing an unacceptable amount of weight and until they do, I am not in the "love it" category. On mine the hole for two of the four plastic latches was cut a bit too big allows for the latch frame to travel within the hole and since permanently installing them to my bike, I have adjusted the press together clip of the latch frame portion too many times to get the bag closed. Let me be clear. I want to open it, throw in and situate my things, then close the bag and go. I do not want to have this additional fumble around with the clips thing I must frequently do which adds some worry to my overall ride experience that my stuff might be freeway litter or that I've misjudged the purpose capabilities for these bags and its at that point that I'm really not free to enjoy myself completely on the way to wherever. I do however believe that the Velcro used to secure either side of the bag flap is completely secure and would probably stay together if the bike went off a cliff and smashed to pieces upon landing. I'm wondering how long this will go on before I need to make some more serious/permanent kind of adjustment of my own to keep this problem from continuing or that I may have no real solution other than continue to like not love these bags until I replace them.Bottom line is, I bought these to use often and rigorously, not just to look at. They hold a lot but if the clips/latch components don't hold together or grab ahold of the material in such a way as to keep me from dealing with it often, then I must admit I disappointed. Perhaps I can chalk it up to the cost, I guess, but this definitely is a buyer beware situation unless you just want to buy and look at your bags but not open and close them often. Also, The little side pocket flapped open one time but maybe I just didn't seat the Velcro properly or perhaps I cruised too fast in downtown Dallas traffic where you get run the hell over if you sunday granny rubberneck and stargaze not get moving and avoid being run over. So the wind did it. If it happens again, i'll consider it to be more product failure not operator error unless these bags had some kind of warning advising speeds of no more than 40, which I did not see.The zipper stayed closed but I'd have been even more bothered If Id lost another pair of sunglasses to the road and that would have been enough to warrant an outright negative complaint against these bags.Far as I can tell, the Saddlemen bags are almost as vacuous as the willie and max bags I have but those are all beat to hell and that's why they are in the storage. Those suckers went through a hurricane and a major four hour downpour coming back from a state over there and they worked fine all throughout those adventures and then some so I'm expecting to get the same durability and dependability from these bags except these look much better. These would be a remarkable investment for anyone's bikes aesthetics and I like that they both can be removed from the seat with three little clips from inside and one clip on the bottom outside in under a minute. They seem to be clutching the bike well but sadly the max weight is a bit light and that's something every biker needs to consider when buying bags for packing and traveling anyway. What you see is what you get and they are no doubt handsome but the big question is would I buy them again?I can say this model is off the list but I will most certainly continue shopping around for what I might someday discover to be the perfect saddlebags before I claim one to be them, be it from Saddleman or whomever.

Size matters
These bags are a fine quality but they were not as big as the dimensions stated. I would have sent these back if a friend of mine hadn't needed a set of saddlebags. My present bags are bigger than these supposed "jumbo's" so I will be getting my bags repaired for a lot less than these new bags would've cost me. I rated these 4 stars to hopefully be near the top of the ratings list so people looking for larger bags will be aware that these bags are not as big as advertised. Unless of course the dimensions have been updated to the true measurements. I had ordered in Sept 2013.

OK Bags
These Saddlebags are OK. They are not great. You can do lot better at Viking Products. I would have returned them but they got burned on my exhaust pipe. I don't know. They do look nice but there are nicer ou=nes out there. I bought the tail bags as well so I'm keeping them.

very happy
These saddle bags are so far great! I've had them a few weeks so far, and I'm happy with them. The strap that holds them up is very thick and easy to adjust to get them to sit right on just about any cruiser style bike. The quick disconnect system is located on the inside of the bags and although the locks they send are a bit weak, you can upgrade them and now it makes theses bags hard for little sh@theads to tamper with its contents. Plenty of space inside, and zippered side pouches can hold 2 pairs of sunglasses in each. Saw a review that said this only comes with 1 bag, mine didn't, it came with both. Nice price for the bag you get!

Great bags
I shopped around for quite a while before coming across these. I really liked the sporty look of them as well as the price. The purchase and shipping went quick with no issues. Installation was easy too. I am real happy with the look and functionality of them. One note which I read in someone else's review before I purchased and it turned out to be true is you can select a size and the jumbo are not as big as they sound. I have a yamaha stryker which doesn't have a lot of room for bags but they were actually a perfect fit. I was hesitant to get the jumbo but now I'm real happy I did. Just enough room to stuff a riding jacket if need be.

Nice product
The only issue I have is that the hard plastic eyelets for the flip locks don't stay in the eye hole. They are not secured, merely set in. Otherwise the bag is phenomenal. Great quality material and very roomy! Make sure to get the mounting brackets as you will surely require them to ensure proper sitting and the bags will hold their shape longer.

Easy to attach
Quite roomy - I can fit the macbook in, or my helmet. Easy to attach, I got the bag support kit but I ended up not using that and just installed the saddle bags under the seat and tied the bottom of the bags to the frame. They are large but they fit well on my Harley Sportster and look good. They make it a bit harder for my kids to get on when they are riding with me, but it's manageable and once they are on the bags are not in their way.

but the bags have a nice metal grommet the made mounting them to my sissy ...
So these are now mounted semi permenetly because 3 of the 6 quick release tabs broke. but the bags have a nice metal grommet the made mounting them to my sissy bar mount just a matter of drilling a few holes and coming up with spacers, bolts and nuts. All in all, bags are good quality but quick release its a bad idea and I should have just spent the money on good hard bags.
