Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)

Think Gears of War, Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider and you have the main kind of gameplay of Uncharted Drake's Fortune. However it takes all those great aspects of play and combines them with high quality production values, a great story, amazing attention to detail, beautiful/stunning graphics and levels And a complete style of it's own to create one brilliant adventure that you must experience if you own a PS3. Follow Drake on his adventure along with his friends Elena and Sully to find the lost treasure of El Dorado which leads to the discovery of a forgotten island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. After they become stranded, they must fight their way to survival as they uncover the dark secrets hidden on the island. Most of the gameplay in Uncharted will have you shooting enemies which includes a really great aiming system and the option to take cover behind structures to regain health. There's also a decent amount of platforming including climbing, jumping, swimming, swinging from branches and puzzle solving. Also included is a thrilling jeep chase and the ability to ride on jet skis. Everything you need to take you on a great survival adventure. The graphics in Uncharted are absolutely amazing. Attention to detail is very present and plants and trees will move as Nathan passes by them, leaves and trees will blow in the wind, making the world feel real and full of life. Water in the game looks fantastic and Nathan himself has around 3000 animations making him one of the most fluidly moving characters in a video game ever. His clothes will get wet in water, they wrinkle as he moves, his muscles bulge under them when he raises his arms and sweat pours from his forehead. All this makes for a fantastic looking game that will blow you away. The game uses motion capture like we saw in Heavenly Sword using real actors. The characters come to life and are believable and all great people that you will come to love. Sully is such a funny guy and will even follow you around, telling you stories as you are walking around as Nathan. Elana is a cool strong female character but she's also a character you can relate to, much like most of the characters in the game. They aren't stereo typical game characters who you can't relate to but very real, making you feel as you're watching actors in a movie. In terms of story you will have to buy the game and see for yourself but be prepared for one of the most epic adventures and best stories you will see in a video game with fantastic twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat. If you ever wanted to play a game that was like a Hollywood blockbuster then treat yourself to Uncharted and you'll not be dissapointed. 10/10

Wow ... finally a game for my PS3 that doesn't disappoint. Since getting my PS3 a couple of months ago there were 3 games that I was really looking forward to, Ratchet and Clank future, Uncharted and GTA IV, I enjoyed Ratchet but it was too short and too easy and I felt slightly disappointed upon completing it, GTA IV disappointed just because of the constant delays ... BUT Uncharted:Drake's fortune is absolutely fantastic, I probably finished the game in about 10-12 hours but these were the most enjoyable 10-12 hours yet on my PS3, the storyline, for a change in a videogame, is engrossing and has plenty of twists and turns so as much as you want to stop playing and go to bed you just can't put the controller down because you need to know what happens next. Parts of this game can be very difficult but never frustratingly so, it's more a case of you fail once so you try a different tactic until you eventually find something that works. The first thing I did upon completing this game was start a new game straight away on the next difficulty setting and i'm now trying to find all the hidden treasure and earn all the medals to unlock some pretty cool rewards, of course there's your standard rewards such as concept art and macking of docs but then there's cool stuff like one shot kills and unlimited ammo to unlock, I can't wait to replay this game with them 2 active just to see how much easier it is to complete, I think i'll try it on the hardest difficulty setting then. If there were more games like this on the PS3 then i'd urge everyone to go out and get a PS3 but for now I still think it's best to wait until next year when the great games really start coming and then get a PS3 with Uncharted as your first choice of game to play. Very highly recommended. P.S. I'm now playing this game for the third time on hard mode and hoo boy it is hard, there's more enemies and they're much more intelligent, i've found all the hidden treasure and now i'm trying for the medals and rewards, i've had this game for a week now and i'm still having fun playing it, this game was definitely well worth the money. Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh JUST BUY IT, STOP READING REVIEWS AND TRY IT FOR YOURSELF, IT'S A FANTASTIC GAME.

The description clearly says (I made a screenshot of it) "new in original package" (in German). It's far from that. It's not sealed/original packaged and inside is a "Platinum Edition" Disc of the game (check my pics). This goes back to you! For me it's 0/5 if it was possible.

Kinda laggy

Recensire questo capitolo di uncharted nel 2014 è sostanzialmente inutile. La saga e il tipo di gioco sono ormai risaputi. Posso solo rivolgermi a quelli che stanno pensando di acquistarlo oggi e non sanno se possa essere ancora un gioco attuale. Bene la risposta è si. Nonostante l'aspetto grafico superato, rimane comunque piacevole e dal punto di vista ludico è ancora divertente. Quindi prendetelo tranquillamente. Nel caso qualcuno se lo chieda, la versione pal uk contiene la lingua italiana sia come parlato che come sottotitoli.

Senza dilungarmi sulla qualità del gioco, assolutamente innovativa per l'epoca, puntando sulla qualità degli scenari e dalla trama coinvolgente e piacevole, è l'ideale per chi si fosse perso i titoli della saga e volesse giocarci a prezzo irrisorio. Da finire tutto su un fiato, per chi ama gli ambienti avventurosi (con un piccolo tocco horror) ma non si lascia intimorire da qualche spezzone di combattimento serrato in stile call of duty (che non pregiudica l'ottimo bilanciamento tra parte esplorativa e narrativa). Un titolo che si finisce in meno di una decina di ore, come tutti i giochi dell'epoca. Servizio di consegna ottimo (acquistando dal regno unito non era disponibile il tracking ma la consegna è avvenuta in pochissimi giorni lavorativi). Consigliato.
