Looks like a traditional thermometer should, and seems sturdy enough to survive for many years perched on my kitchen wall, where it is now. Bought it alongside a similarly-priced thermometer from the same supplier, but was surprised to see that their opinions of the temperature differed by approximately 2 degrees C... Urrr??? Compared them again a number of times in various temps and places but the difference remained. I don't know what sort of red liquid they use in these things but maybe it's not as accurate as the ultra-toxic silver-coloured mercury versions of yesteryear, or maybe they just don't design them properly anymore (or both). They certainly don't check them for a reasonable level of accuracy. I actually have one of the toxic 'Freddies' in my freezer to monitor max/min temps in said environ but haven't fished it out for comparison with the new 'uns. In addition, I find these red liquid-filled glass thermometers a bit difficult to read easily as 'angle-dependency' means the reading is invisible if not viewed directly on. Can't give this item full marks therefore, but it was reasonably cheap.

Visto il prezzo non si può pretendere più di tanto, ma devo dire che questo termometro ha soddisfatto appieno le mie aspettative. Ok è plasticoso, le finiture non sono il massimo e di certo non è un oggetto d'arredo, MA... costa pochissimo, fa il suo lavoro, è molto leggero e il design e i colori non sono affatto male. Se lo si vede da lontano sembra anche un bel termometro, solo da vicino e prendendolo in mano ci si rende conto della fascia di prezzo, per metterla in questi termini.
