The cable is long enough to get through 2 pairs of zips on my backpack which does the main compartments. 3 digits is not going to be high security, but it stops a casual miscreant fiddling with your luggage if you turn away for a moment which is the main thing for travelling.

Much cheaper than buying at the supermarket, great value for money. They meet the regulations but keep valuables safe.

This works fine but you will definitely need glasses to read the numbers.
