Decent product but will not be a repurchase for me.
I purchased this to line the inside of my cat litter box furniture. It's completely clear with a glossy finish. It's sticky enough that I have not had peeled corners. It's also very forgiving because I had to reline one of the litter box furniture. I was able to pull the laminate up and reposition it. It was still very sticky even after the reposition. What I didn't like about it is that it has a bad adhesive smell. Nothing too horrible, but I'm sure it'll bother people with a sensitive nose. It has been about a week since I used it. The cat litter box furniture are inside a small bathroom with no windows, and even after a week, I can still kind of smell the adhesive. So if you are using a lot of this in a small confined area, I would recommend to air it out for a few days. It's also much thinner than I had expected. It didn't break apart or anything but I would prefer it to be slightly thicker. I'm not sure if it'll hold up in the long run. The most difficult part was the application. The curl of the roll that it came in was very hard to remove or "correct", making it extremely difficult to apply this without lots of air bubbles. The backing paper was very thin and often broke apart when I tried to peel it away. I thought putting the furniture together would be difficult but the application of this laminate actually took the longest time. Took me roughly about 20-30 mins to completely line one furniture because it was hard to apply it correctly (due to the roll curl) and I had to spend lots of time to remove the air bubbles Overall, I'm satisfied with it for the purpose of lining the inside of furniture, which I don't mind doing again in the future when the laminate needs to be "replaced". But if I'm working on something that needs a more "permanent" finish, I'll probably look for something a little more heavy duty. I also will not repurchase this if I have to work on a large area because of the difficult application process. For smaller projects, I don't mind using it again.

works better than expected
I got this to line the shelves of my new refrigerator so the glass shelves would not get scratched. I attached it to the glass top and wrapped it around the plastic framing to the underside. I expected that with the cold and way it was wrapping, that it would unstick itself, but so far after about 2 months it is still sticking fast. I would have reservations about using this with photos as it is not 100% clear, but it will probably do the job if you are not putting it on display in a museum or on your wall. It would probably work fine in a scrapbook, just guessing. Works fantastic for fridge shelves though, and if anything spills it is super easy to clean and nothing gets into the cracks of the framing...

Great way to laminate large projects
I used this to laminate DIY yard sale signs that I am hoping to be able to reuse. The liner is removable so it isn't as sticky as permanent contact paper but it made it easier to reposition as I was applying. It didn't tear my poster board, which was fantastic. It applied pretty smoothly with only a few air bubbles, which I was able to squeeze out, but those air bubbles were mainly due to my learning curve. We didn't have any severe weather, but the signs still look great even after being displayed outdoors for 3 days & nights. Because it is clear, there is some glare depending on how the light hits it, but it wasn't a hindrance. The back lining has ruler guidelines which is very helpful for cutting and lining up on the project. It was a little tricky applying the first time, but it became easier each time I used it as I learned how to improve my technique. I cut so I had a 1-in border and started at one corner and lined it up using the ruler guides and attached it to my table. Then I peeled the backing off for about 2 inches and attached the remainder of the 1-in border to my table, keeping the remaining amount of contact paper rolled up in my hand. Then I just slowly unrolled the contact paper a couple inches at a time, attaching & smoothing it to my poster board as I went.

Works for book covers
I have used this to protect dust covers and softcover books, particularly ones that are manufactured/shipped with poorly trimmed or slightly torn edges. It works well for books, is sticky enough to hold down once firmly pressed, but not so sticky that it would leave adhesive or take parts of the book with it if you needed to un-peel due to air bubbles. You will need to unroll a small section at a time and have some items to hold the paper down if you are doing it by yourself. It's a "clear matte" finish. The only issue I have had is that when peeling back the wax paper it is easy to leave a crease in the in the adhesive paper if you are not holding that portion down. I don't know about the exact length but it is sufficient for my needs, and I plan to purchase again when my current roll runs out. I was debating between this and the Con-tact brand, but after seeing the reviews about Con-tact leaving behind adhesive and sticky residue I chose this one.

Bubble resistant.
I bought two rolls of contact paper a while back for doing books, a roll of this and a much more expensive roll of matte, which also had less per roll than this has. I started using the matte roll first, and while I could get some good results on occasion, it was usually very fussy and not easy at all to reposition or get bubbles out (poking holes in the bubble seemed to work best). Not really all that fussy about the results as long as it is doing the job. Finally ran out of the first roll, and started using this. Boy what a difference. It has all the right properties to make the job easy (it lives up to the name). Just the right amount of tack so that if there is any bubbles they are easy to push out and repossession if necessary yet it sticks well enough that it doesn't seem to peel. Only downside is is I think I like the matte better as far as looks and feel.

Works. Not as sticky as I was hoping but if you iron it down it works well

Great for laminting items that dont fit in my laminator little hard to get put on without bubbles so you have to go slow and smooth it out as you go

I used this to laminate pieces for board games and it has been great on paper. It's king of hard to un-wrap but easy with two people. It's not completely transparent but it adds a nice finish for what I wanted. If you want it to be 100% transparent or glossy, you might need to look somewhere else
