The best output jack, PERIOD!
Output jacks are almost one of those things we take for granted, but don't really understand that there are quality differences. I started off being a massive skeptic of Pure Tone, as I was one who'd keep Switchcraft jacks around the workbench. However, once I tried one, it was game, set, match. Pure Tone won me over big, and here's why:1.) They're the closest jack to a "one size fits all" that I can find. Yes, these are 1/4-in imperial jacks, so you'd have to widen the hole of an import guitar. But that's the only thing I can say "is not" one size fits all. The jack itself has a long barrel that can fit into a wood mounted jack cavity, such as an ES-335 style guitar, SG, or something else where the good is thick enough to require a long barrel. But also for those who've had to occasionally fight a Switchcraft jack under a Strat's boat plate that came with a weird routing job, these fit into those with room to spare too. They're about as short as an import jack, allowing them to fit beautifully under virtually any jack cavity. So instead of ordering different barrel sized Switchcraft jacks, just order these instead that can handle both environments.2.) People say there are 4 points of contact, but there's 5: The barrel and 2 prongs for the cable's sleeve, and 2 prongs for the cable's tip totaling 5 points of contact. And the connection is robust. So much so where me and my friends often talk about the satisfying "click" sensation we get when plugging in or unplugging.3.) Although the prongs are shaped like that of cheap, easily-bendable import jacks that often fail, Pure Tone jacks are solid and over counter tension to help prevent unwanted strain within the jack that often leads to bad connections with cheap import jacks. I've seen thousands of import jacks fail. I've even seen Switchcraft jacks fail. But I've yet to encounter a failed Pure Tone, and I own dozens for my own guitars, plus have installed them for loads of clients. Not a one has come back.4.) Yes, they work in guitar amplifiers too. I currently have one in my Fender Blues Junior Ⅲ, and it's amazing. It works beautifully through that application, and even gives a slightly different "ka-chunk" physical sound when plugging a cable in due to the chassis. But they work and I love it for amps too.Installation is like any other jack. It has two soldering terminals. If you have three soldering terminals, then you must have ordered the TRS jack good for stereo signals or active circuits. For the sake of this review, I'm only going to talk about the TS jack. If you look underneath the jack, you'll see how these solder terminals are laid out. The terminal that is clearly running to the jack's barrel is ground. You'd solder the ground wire to it, which should be coming from your common ground area, usually (but not always) beneath the volume pot. The jack's terminal that travels between a sandwiched part of the jack is positive, which should 'usually' have a wire coming off of the volume pot's middle terminal (aka: "2"). Just be good with your soldering skills, and installatino will be a breeze.Would I buy again? 11/10, absolutely. In fact, I need to order more as I keep burning through my supply. I also demonstrate them on my YouTube Channel, "11th Fret" should you want to learn more.

Low noise, great plug system. Hold the cable tigh enough to move around the stage without cracking sounds! Worth it for the price!

What a quality piece
Never thought I’d admire such quality in a jack input but wow. Great quality, tight tolerances and about as easy to install has your knowledge on soldering goes. Will be using these whenever I need to replace input jacks for sure.
