Rhino Coffee Gear Tamper 58.4mm, Silver

Nice weight/balance. Size was exactly as advertised (measured using digital caliper)

It has a very nice solid feeling and unlike my old tamper, I have yet to experience channeling with it. Fits my expobar perfect.

This is a great tamper for the cost. I bought it because it was the cheapest I could find in the slightly larger than 58mm size (i.e. 58.3mm, 58.4mm, 58.5mm). Heavy, fits *perfectly* in my portafilter basket, and has a generous handle which fits nicely in the palm of the hand. Definitely an upgrade from my previous tamper and already making better espresso (I think!). I wish the black handle version had been in stock, as I like the looks of that one a little better, but this shiny one will do for now!

I wanted a 58.4mm tamper for my Gaggia in case I decide to upgrade to IMS or VST precision PF baskets. This was the only one i could find for a reasonable price. I ordered silver handle (it was the only option) but recieved the black handled model and I'm glad, it looks much nicer than the all silver.The stainless base is mirror finished, not brushed as it appears in the image.The product lists the item weight at 2.2lbs which is incorrect. It weighs a bit over 1lb, somewhere between 500-600g.The stainless base threads into the aluminum handle. It arrived a little loose, but after hand tightening it is very snug and will not come loose during use.Dead on correct size (58.4mm), 304 stainless base and 6061 aluminum handle. Fit and finish are top notch. Way exceeded my expectations. No idea why someone would pay $50-150 for a tamper when this $25 model is basically perfect.

I’ve used several tampers, and this is definitely my favorite. I like how the top of tamper handle is comfortably shaped, allowing firm pressure to be applied with palm of hand without discomfort. The slightly oversized base, 58.4 mm, more closely and optimally fits my VST basket. The base, and all of tamper, for that matter, is nicely polished, allowing for nice feel when spinning tamper after tamping. It has a lot of desirable features and I highly recommend it.

This thing has a nice weight to it. It arrived in two pieces - the handle easily screws into the base and fits nicely. Tamps the coffee in the Gaggia Classic Pro portafilter though it could probably take a slightly larger tamper by a fraction of a millimeter.

Solid, well built tamper. The 58.4 mm size fits the stock baskets of my Gaggia Classic Pro (2019) model perfectly and is much more substantial than my previous all-aluminum tamper.

I have 4 other tampers that I have accumulated over the years. Brand names that have cost me three times as much. This is by far the best quality and lowest price!
