Nice coloured desiccant
The desiccant is nice and the colour indication works as expected. For my purposes, the indicated RH% is below the indicator threshold. I need to rejuvenate the desiccant before it changes colour much. I need the indication under 20%.I do recommend this product for those that want to dry out plants or keep other things dry.

Clean packaging and easy dispense into organza sachets
I use this to keep our dog kibble, cat kibble super clean, dry, and fresh for all our animals. I also use this for my DIY powder food and whatever else I can think of. The way you use this without a hygrometer is to use a kitchen gram scale and measure the weight of the beads + sachet before and after and replace it when you see a 20-30% increase in weight. Also microwave + toaster oven at 200 deg F for 15 minutes (low temp) will do amazing work on recharging the beads. Considering using a skillet next time. Got these for similar reasons as other users - no indicating color means its safe. Orange indicator is methyl violet which you can wikipedia and see that its really quite unsafe, although it is silica bound. This is really clean silica gel and a great product. Can see myself using this same 7.5lb jug for more than a year with reheating.

Baking it in an oven at 550f works for me
This works much better than silica gel to get to low humidity. Baking it in an oven at 550f worked for me to get it back the same dryness as how it was when I first opened the container. I weighed it on a scale before using it, let it absorb about 20% of its mass in water vapor, and was able to dry it in a few hours. I stopped when it wasn't drying much anymore and it was close to the original weight.
