It’s a bit rough but it protects from cold weather. It’s good to have for camping trips.

When I read the reviews, I was expecting to open the package, take a whiff, and return it. I was ready! yet, when I opened the package, I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, if you put your nose to the fabric there is a chemical smell. but, IMHO it is not overpowering. The blanket itself is nice and long, heavy, but a weight that is easily carried. this is a versatile item and well worth the money. One thing to note is the it is 70% wool and 30% synthetic.

I used the wool blanket to cover my wheelchair bound legs and feet until my dog ( named Trouble) took the blanket over and during the course of several months proceeded to chew it to pieces. But he was quite toasty warm as he destroyed HIS blankie.

The blanket is okay but on the fluffy side when washing it gives off a lot of fibers what okay all in all
