I've been using this phone holder for a month or so now, and generally its been fine, barring one potentially disasterous moment (see below). I'm using this holder with a Samsung S6 (work phone) and Nokia Lumia 620 (home phone, not used with it yet) for sat nav purposes only.The relatively large Samsung phone, even in a 'flip down' case, fits in nicely, though you do have to squeeze the case (fold the fron cover back) so that the front of the phone doesn't protrude in front of the holder's feet. I learned this the hard way when the phone fell off after going over a high speed hump - luckily the phone was not damaged and didn't cause an accident as a result. I also changed the position of the holder from the lower vent (middle two) on my 2006 Mazda3 to right at the bottom of the vent, to 'jam' it in a bit better, which seems to have worked. It does now block some of the car's multi-function display though.The 'clamp' part doesn't have a tightener, at least on the 'round' model (it has two different sized slots for large/small vent slats), so I would advise trying it out without the phone in different locations on the vent before putting the phone in, just in case it falls off as mine and some other people's did. Don't expect the unit to remain rigid in place - it moves a little when the car goes over large bumps, but is generally fine - my previous rigid 'window sucker' holder broke as the cheap plastic couldn't cope with the weight of the Nokia phone and the movement of the car.The side adjuster/phone clamp works well (it was the whole thing that fell off that one time), as does the rear release button. I haven't connected the phone to the cigarette lighter for in car-charging yet, but the gap between the holder's feet looks large enough for the connector to fit without problems. I would advise any person reviewing this product to state what car (including the production year or mk model) it is paired to, as I suspect it works better on certain cars than others, and the 'flat connector' model variant might be better suited to cars with horizontal vent slats like my car's.

I was looking for a phone holder that would use the vents to stay out of my eyeline. I have an iPhone 6S with a wallet case so it's pretty heavy.[I have not been paid for this review, or provided a free sample - this is completely honest following purchase of the product]On first use, I wasn't too impressed by the holder. I placed it at the top of the central vent in my Polo and the weight of my case was causing the vent to tip completely, making the holder useless. Plus it fell off after a while. However, it just took a little time to figure out the best positions.FIRSTLY - make sure the holder is completely clicked on to the vent. It takes some firm force but this is a mistake I made the first time around. With the heavy case, to reduce tipping, I placed the holder in the bottom slot of the vent and rested the back of the holder on the frame of the vent. This stabilised the holder significantly and now it's absolutely perfect! The only hassle I have is sometimes over bumps, the holder moves off it's little rest and tips a tiny bit, but this can be adjusted quickly. Overall, well worth the money!

I would have gone to 3 stars but it wobbles too much. Comes loose from the vents too easily. Otherwise a sturdy phone holder.Since then - Upgraded to 4* - Why...The phone I was using with this was originally an Samsung S6 and it was pretty good and the wobble/movement was tolerable for any device held in a moving vehicle. However, when I upgraded to an S7 Edge which is much larger, the wobble became quite annoying - but really - still tolerable....However, since contacting Rewox via email, I have to say their customer service has been quite excellent and an alternative has been provided.I would most certainly buy from these folks again and I'm happy to recommend them!

OK product but not very secure it keeps wobbling & falling out of the vents. Too much force when you push it into the vent can cause the vent to break as they are usually only plastic. This has now happened to me twice so be careful.

I am completing this review as I have been supplied with a free phone holder due to my previous purchase of an older version of the same model. My original review was good, but the holder didn't work for my phone and car combination. This review is completely unbiased.The product arrived promptly (Amazon Prime) and very well packaged in the suppliers box. The phone holder is extremely solid and very well engineered. The action of the mechanism to widen the phone holder is slick and feels smooth and works at the simple touch of a button. The revised part of this holder over the earlier model I purchased is the mounting method where this one attaches to the car air vents. This one has a push down clamp that squeezes the jaws of the mount solidly onto the vent horizontal or vertical slat.Once clamped in place, by a simple closing of the locking arm, the holder is solid. My phone is a samsung galaxy note 4, which is the same size as the iPhone 6 plus, so is a big phone and therefore not suitable for all holders. This holder however has no issues with holding my phone and the open jaws easily accommodate it's size. Having just driven a 30 mile drive on bumpy country back lanes I can also confirm that there continues to be no movement in the mount whatsoever. This was not the case on the previous version and so the revised mounting point is a definite way forward.The holder itself sits closely to the mount and sits pretty snug to the vent. Having looked at lots of available vent mounts before choosing the original one, I can certainly confirm that this one does not get in the way of anything in the cockpit unlike others have reviewed on similar holders.I would definitely recommend this product and would happily pay the full price. I did for my original purchase and only returned due to it not being what I wanted. This one is the holder I had hoped for in my original purchase.
