Q: Hi,does anyone know what batteries it takes as it doesn't come with them?Thanks

Are you sitting down? The little unit. which the dog needs to hit to produce noise. uses 3x AAA. The large unit which houses the revolving drum and the receiver uses 4xC batteries. It seemed to cost a fortune to set it all up. Dog gets very excited when he sees me bring his out. Trouble is I had trained him to pick things up and "hand" them to me, so tends to do that. I have had to go straight to step 2 in the training. This resulted in my son, 6ft tall policeman, being an all fours showing the dog what to do. Suddenly the cost was justified, in entertainment value alone. Have fun!

Q: Has anyone compared this to the Treat and Train (manners minder)? Specifically thinking of use with agility training.

The treat and train is possibly better but significantly more expensive. The main difference is that the Manners Minder is remote control operated and it doesn't make a noise other than the sound of food dispensing. The Trixie makes a boing or a ding noise when you press the button. It still works as a remote, but is makes a noise.

Q: This product used to be green and now the image shows a blue item... what are the differences? It seems that there is a version 3...

Sorry only ever had the blue one so not sure if any differences.

Put new battery in, it may be the battery is not at its best. Also, check the ball is sat right in the unit.Hope this helps.
