THESE ARE BRILLIANT!
Last night I set the traps as instructed and added the cheapest lager I could find. This morning I could not believe my eyes. I haven't counted the slugs I caught (obviously!) but there must be literally dozens in each trap. No wonder my plants are in such a mess. I did take a photo but cannot upload it, but suffice to say it looked like the picture on the product page.Thank you so much for such a simple and effective solution to my slug infestation.

Do what they say!
This is the grossest thing I've ever had to do but if you want to grow fruit & veg (and sunflowers - slugs love sunflowers) then they're essential. I needed to buy disposable as I couldn't bare the thought of cleaning those slimy suckers out of the plastic ones! (Update - I've since tried the reusable ones and I vomited when emptying so it's back to these).Having read various reviews we started off using Guinness (I'm not getting paid to say this) and it worked great but it seemed sacrilegious to give those slimeballs something so good so we tried a cheaper bitter next time. We got 0!Next we tried a home made recipe. 260ml water, 1 tblsp flour, 1tblsp sugar & 1 tblsp active dried yeast. This works the best of all! Buy your yeast from an online store and you'll get a large tin for less than a fiver. More cost effective than buying the sachets at the supermarket. The only thing we had an issue with is the crows. They like these bags too and sometimes pick them up and drop them in random spots around the garden. It's better if you can semi conceal them near your plants.Would definitely recommend! They might seem expensive but these were good quality, sturdy bags that did stay in formation and didn't collapse as some cheaper brands might.

WORKED LIKE A CHARM!
8 hours after I set 3 traps (filled with a bottle of polish lager), I got 8 slugs in one trap, and 3 slugs in each other traps. Very satisfying especially having seen your dahlia plants barely sport any leaves. Slugs are horrible....I did not killed them, I have jus opened pubs for them: "Slug and Lettuce-Die". Excellent product. Highly recommended.

Not the best.
The product was a great concept but it didn’t do as well as I had hoped! We still had a lot of slugs which was disappointing. It was definitely doing something as I’d seen some slugs on the inside of the plastic but I think some were escaping.Pros:1) Very easy to use no setup required other than pouring a bit of liquid I to it.2) Not harmful for pets!Cons:1) Not the nicest looking thing to have sat in the garden we used 3 on the patio area and 3 on the grass near the path.2) Not the easiest to dispose of as the liquid gets real funky, you’ll definitely need a strong stomach. For the price it’s worth a try but it’s definitely not something I would buy again.

They work!
It took 24 hours for the slugs to find these traps, within three days the seven I had put out all had lots of small slugs, one also had about twenty of the biggest I have ever seen, so experiment with the positioning. My baby plants are thriving now rather than being eaten down to stumps as previously. Used the malt powder from the same supplier, much cheaper than beer. I did add a little alcohol, 30ml to a litre of the malt mix, just to make sure. Currently rinsing and refilling every four to seven days according to the catch and weather conditions, if very hot they get stinky within 48 hours, definitely a job to be done outside with a couple of buckets of water and rubber gloves! Highly recommend this product.

These are brilliant for getting rid of slugs etc
Slugs are the bane of my life but I did not want to put pellets down because of the harm they do to wild life, and my dogs. So I bought these. A can of John Smiths will do 3 traps and overnight slugs are throwing themselves in there and dying, it's wonderful, what a way to go!

An expensive way to try to get rid of slugs and snails
Not sure the slugs liked our beer. We'll try again with a different beer.We have strong evidence of slug and snail evidence in our garden but didn't actually catch much.

Does what it says.
Product very good and robust. But it’s how to dispose of the slugs, I’ve double bagged them and still they stink.
