Excellent value, does the job!
Really impressed with these gloves. For the price, they are excellent! We’ve used them to move logs around in our fire pit all summer and they’ve held up really well. Obviously you can’t hold a fiery log for an extended period of time, but they provide enough heat protection to move them around. Great for grilling as well. Would not hesitate to purchase again.

Great!
Great for loading the woodstove! They have held up really well. Used daily, during the season, for years.

Good Protection
Thorns are going to have a really hard time getting through these gloves. I expect the only ones that would stand a chance are the thorns from a bougainvillea. They were purchased just for that purpose, but it says they're fireproof. Now I'll have protection when adding another log on the fire! Thank you, RM.

Well made, but heat resistance is mediocre
I have been heating with wood for more than 35 years and during that time I have used a number of different gloves. I would rate this pair somewhere in the middle. On the plus side, they appear to be well made, of quality materials. The leather is supple and the liner is comfortable. My only issue with them is they are not as heat resistant as I would prefer. I have to remove the ash pan from my stove once or twice each day and empty the ashes into a bucket on the hearth. With my previous set of gloves I could do that without feeling any heat from the pan, but with this pair I find that I need to transfer the ashes to the bucket as quickly as possible, because I can feel the heat from the pan to the extent that it is difficult to handle it for more than a minute or so. For someone who needs a pair of gloves for tending a wood stove or barbecuing these gloves would be adequate and are a good value for the price. But for anyone who handles hot materials for extended periods of time, these gloves would probably not be satisfactory.

Blackberry bushes, beware!
My gloves arrived a day earlier than I expected, and I couldn't wait to get back at the blackberry brambles that had been tearing my hands and legs apart! These gloves are amazing and immediately evened the odds in my battle against the thorns! They are thick, but flexible enough to grab the vines by the root and squeeze. Now the thorns work to my advantage as they grip onto the gloves without puncturing to my my skin giving me better purchase to yank them from their former home. Now I just need a shirt and pants made from the same material and I'll be invincible in the dwindling sea of nasty vines that used to be my backyard.

Camping gloves
I bought this to manipulate the grill while camping, and they work excellent. I could grab the hot grill and even move some firewood around and was completely protected against the heat. Totally recommend it

great gloves!
I use these for fire pit nights. I can litterly pick up a burning log and put it back into the fire and I don't feel a a thing. they seem well made..I've had them for almost a year and they seem to be holding up well. very happy with this purchase.

Not very heat resistant
NOT "EXTREME HEAT RESISTANT". These are noticeable thinner and less heat resistant than standard welding gloves you would buy from a major brand. Even my Harbor Freight welding gloves were quite a bit thicker and more resistant than these. They work fine for light duty work, but I would not wear them while doing heavy duty welding, and ESPECIALLY not for something like TIG welding where you have to have your hands near the heat/weld.These are also very very large. I wear a size large glove and these gloves are really big on me. They're about as large as XXL latex gloves as far as hand fitment goes.If you have very large hands and you plan on using these for light duty work like BBQ, wood stove, etc. these are fine, and they're cheap to boot. If you actually want gloves for welding, look elsewhere.
