Great product
For the price, this was a good buy. We use it twice a day for blood pressure and heart rate information.

NOT ACCURATE
This Blood pressure monitor is not accurate - proven by a trip to the doctors office. Too late to return to Amazon and the Beurer Company wants us to jump thru hoops to get a replacement. Strongly advise you don't buy any monitor from Beurer.

Works as advertised
This blood pressure cuff works very well and seems to be accurate when compared with the devices used by my primary care doctor. The only negative I have is that there's supposed to be an online app that helps track blood pressures over time and I was never able to get it to work properly.

Accurate and Easy to Use - App Required for Bluetooth Connect
The Beurer BM54 Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor is a good option if you're looking for a blood pressure cuff that works accurately and can be connected to your phone via Bluetooth. The cuff comes with batteries and is ready to use immediately out of the box. There is a quick start guide as well as a more detailed instruction book, but I found it was very intuitive to figure out, even without the instruction manual. To begin, simply turn on the unit, adjust the year, date, time, and Bluetooth connect by pressing the 1 or 2 button to toggle up or down in selection (there are only three buttons on the unit), and you're set. Two profiles can be saved on the machine, and to operate, you just need to strap on the cuff, turn on the unit, and select either 1 or 2 for person 1 or 2. The unit operates fairly quietly and I found the results to be accurate. I honestly can't say much about the Bluetooth connect as I found that it requires downloading yet another app to keep track of on my phone. This is likely the only dealbreaker I have with the unit - I really dislike having to download more and more apps on my phone and find it more efficient for me to simply input my blood pressure into my iPhone's health app. If you really want it to track everything without thinking though, the app also wasn't too hard to navigate, but it isn't all that informative either. The Bluetooth did connect just fine for me though. Overall, the unit is well made and I like how quickly and easily it is to take my blood pressure when needed. It definitely is a durable machine that gets the job done.

Accurate readings, pain to sync with phone
Out of the box as a strictly plug and play blood pressure device, this monitor is super easy to use, and very accurate. I like that it comes with the batteries needed to operate. Where it begins to get confusing is when you want to use the Bluetooth connectivity and set the time/date. It is very confusing to set the time and date, and even after getting it right on the device, my readings still showed up as 2015 on the app. The instructions are not very clear at all. First off, the QR code does not bring you to the app in the App Store, so don’t waste your time with it. Next, syncing the device on the initial use is confusing because the instructions don’t mention anything about a Bluetooth code, which is basically random numbers that pop up on the screen in the same format as the blood pressure reading. Once in the app, I was excited to get it to sync with my apple health data on my phone, but because the time and date issue was never resolved, it’s useless. For a straightforward blood pressure device (and nothing else) I’d give it 5 stars, but I think it raised my blood pressure during the setup process, so I have to drop it down to a 3. I think with some minor adjustments or clarifications/ tweaks to the instructions, or even adding the ability to edit the time and date from the app, it would save the user a ton of frustration. It’s a great device; just needs a little more attention to usability and setup.

Easy to read accurate results!
The Beurer BM54 has a large easy to read display monitor. The Bluetooth technology is great because it transfers the data to your device so you can track the history of your blood pressure readings. Test readings are very accurate. I highly recommend this product.

Fairly accurate blood pressure unit but the App is lacking.
Living with hypertension for the last few years, I have had the opportunity to evaluate multiple hospital and home based blood pressure units. This unit is very convenient. Battery operated, allows for portability. arm cuff accommodates an adult arm, with good accuracy of my reads. The mean is fairly high with repeated measurements coming in within 10 bars on both systolic and diastolic readings. The memory works well. BUT, the touted app that records the pressures won’t sync to my Bluetooth and won’t record my readings on my iPhone. Perhaps I’m doing something wrong…. But then that speaks pretty highly of how not user friendly the APP is. No help features. The menus in the App don’t even allow options, just to cancel when it doesn't work. As for the cuff, Its more accurate than my current wall plugged AC unit, and more accurate than a wrist cuff unit. Not as accurate as my hospital units, but those are built for high wear and tear with multiple features capable of reading off of different patient types with different cuffs. Do not buy this unit if you have a VERY large arm or a Very SMALL arm, as the cuff will not give an accurate read. It is designed for average adults and the limitations are printed on the cuff so you’ll know if it’s not on well. I am happy to use it and will continue using it, but would have liked a working APP.
