Nice.
Mine arrived without any real padding - just a thin cardboard box, the included (thin) gig bag, plus an inner (thin) cloth bag inside that - but there was no damage, so they got away with it!You will have to put in some effort to tune it - mine was more than an octave low to start with. In addition, you will have to stretch the strings - that will be why so many reviews say "It won't stay in tune!" - yeah, nylon strings do that initially. (Even steel strings do!). Maybe the E string on mine is wrapped around the tuner capstan a few too many times - this does not help with stability, but so far I can't be bothered to take it off and re-do it.Put a drop of oil (or maybe Vaseline) on the gears of the tuners.Once tuned up, I checked the intonation - the G and C strings go a bit sharp at the 12th fret, but the E and A strings are spot on. Maybe the saddle (bridge) could be filed down a bit to lower the action - that would help the intonation. The finish (mine is the transparent red one) is pretty much perfect, and there are no buzzing areas on the neck - at least not that I have found as yet. For 45 quid, you can't argue!

Great for stubby fingers
I've wanted to try a ukulele for some time, but had great difficulty getting my fat fingers in the frets. A friend suggested a wide neck concert ukulele might be worth a go so ordered the Mahalo wide neck concert ukulele. The uke arrived the following day boxed and well packaged. The ukulele looks very good and well made and has a very pleasant tone. The nylgut strings took about 3 days to tune properly but once in tune they stayed tuned. Comes complete with a gig bag. I'm really pleased with the ukulele and would recommend it to anyone who like me has got sausages for fingers

give the strings time to settle
got it while on offer - £37.99. had a cheap soprano one from aldi/lidl(can't remember which one), so this is a nice step up from that. more space on the fret board (that's why i wanted a concert ukulele) . finish is good - it's a very nice looking ukulele. give the strings time to stretch. we've had this about 4/5 days now, and the strings are just beginning to keep tune. it's a high gloss finish, which doesn't really show in the amazon pictures. word of warning - you buy one ukulele, you soon want to buy another! i would like to try a curved-base one next! oh dear.

Solid quality, wonderful sound, beautiful design, well priced.
I'm a newcomer to uke but a seasoned guitarist. All I have to compare this to is my Stagg US-10 uke which I returned, as on instinct it didn't seem very good quality. In my opinion, this is a big improvement. The concert size is more easy to get used to for me, it sounds wonderful, and the new strings stay in tune a lot quicker than my previously mentioned returned uke - feels much higher quality too. This ukulele is also visually gorgeous in comparison to many others. Can't speak for if uke veterans would approve of this, but I was definitely pleased. If you are planning on getting into playing this instrument, go for this, don't cheap out on some poorly made toy!

Cheap and very cheerful!
For the price this is a tidy piece of kit. It tunes well, though will need regular retuning and plays nicely too. It seems robust enough for my 2 year old to hold, drop and play. No accidents or breakages yet, whilst dad can pick it up and strum a bit of Somewhere over the Rainbow to encourage him to play in the future.

Nice colour and sound, good quality
My musician friend helped me chose this one out. I'm very pleased, it arrived on time, the colour is prettier than the photo (its almost like a deep teal). I'm a beginner and I've found the change from soprano to concert has made it easier to play because there's that little bit of extra room to place my fingers, its easier for me to grip, and the sound feels louder and clearer too. Its exactly what I was looking for!

Perfect for Newbie
I've never played a string instrument before. This was perfect for learning on. I opted for the concert Ukulele because I'm a big and tall fella. I have trouble with some of the chords but thats down to my giant sausage sized fingers not the ukulele. Not 5 stars because I do have to retune it every time I go to play it, I'm new to string instruments so I guess the strings stretch?Cheers!
