You don’t need to press hard to get pigment from these pencils, the colours are rich and the cores are a mix of soft but able to keep a point.Easy to sharpen to a point and comfortable to grip on to.They blend very easily and you can layer without picking up any pigment underneath or wearing down the paper. I've been impressed by the performance and unusual colours in the Polycolor range. I've already got the largest 72 set so was interested in this set of greys when they appeared at a reasonable price. I was delighted to find that there are only three colours in the 72 set duplicated in this one. This tin has nine graduated warm and cool greys I haven't already got so I was delighted by this and also by the way it does not duplicate either black or white - as other brands often do. (The duplicates are 403 Cool Grey 3, 405 Cool Grey 5 and 455 Warm Grey 5.)As realistic landscapes and cityscapes are one of my enduring interests I use lots of greys and find them really useful, both for underdrawing and knocking back brighter colours to achieve subtle effects. (Even after many years it still completely astonishes me how much grey there is in everything.)Whether you already own a bigger Polycolor set and want extra greys or are building up a collection of coloured pencils these are really worth getting. Excellent value for money and a good range of greys.

Some of the greys are pretty much the same, but what I like is the gradation from black grey to brownish grey. I like Koh i noor and use them for colouring in and sometimes there are only 2 options of greys in colouring pencil sets, so wanted to expand my repertoire, though not sure I need all 12. I also have the brown set which I much prefer and use a lot. Good price as I got them on a warehouse deal, otherwise probably wouldnt have bothered.

I love the colours, that graduate very nicely, but for blending the colours, they are a little too sticky for an efficient blending.Such a shame, as the colours are perfect.

This time of grey pencils are really useful..I use mine nearly all the time highly recommended

Got this to try to use together with prisma and polychromos, as is impossoble to get them open stock in UK.Those are not vere opac, so to get the colour we need to apply a bit more pressure, what will result in difficults for adding layers.

Haven't had much chance to use but they are nice and creamy and blend well so I would recommend.

This is really great because none of these colours are in the 72 set. This tin has 6 cool greys and 6 warm greys so it's very versatile. The price is excellent for 12 pencils and the tin is nice.

I was looking for a replacement for my Caran d'ache grey, which I love, and these pencils are very good, harder than Prismacolor which is good since Prismas are way way too soft. Feel like oil-based which they might be, at any rate, a good selection of greys.

Crayons à base d'huile. Assez secs. Je les frotte au papier abrasif et avec la poudre récupérée je fais mes fonds de dessin. Très bon pouvoir couvrant sur les papier à grain clairefontaine et canson. Vu leur prix, c'est plus économique de le faire avec ceux-ci.Très grande variété de gris chaud comme froid.

Crayons de bonne qualité avec des gris chauds et des gris froids. Texture plutôt grasse.

Gute Qualität, ich habe es gut geschützt und in der Originalverpackung ohne Mängel erhalten. Ich möchte Sie darüber informieren, dass sich zwei Farben im Kit mit 72 Farben bei 3800/403 und 3800/408 wiederholen. Aber das ist kein Problem.

I pastelli sono ottimi ma quasi tutti sono nelle sfumature del grigio verde.
