Brilliant, sad and funny and definitely worth watching more than once
Joanna Lumley is, as always, brilliant, and there is real chemistry between her and the wonderful Denis Lawson. The script is, in my opinion, rich and very well-written, bubbling with both sadness and humour, and showing great insight into what it means to become aware of time running out. The main characters are so strongly drawn that they stay with you long after you've finished watching. As a bonus, you get to view London and listen to a great selection of music. Definitely worth watching, and more than once.

QUITE GOOD
I didn't know what to expect with this Series having never heard of it before so I ordered both Series 1 and 2 to watch them in sequence. It wasn't at all what I expected but after getting used to the style of filming, the characters and plot, it made you want to carry on watching to see what happened. Series 1 set the scene but I preferred Series 2 but you can't watch one without the other or you don't know what, why or when! Glad I watched it though.

Middle class hell
One of the best TV dramas that the BBC have shown in recent years. Wasn't publicised much when it first came out so slipped past unnoticed for many people.Extremely funny and bittersweet at the same time. Miss Jones from Rising Damp makes an appearance in episode 2 though time hasn't been kind!

The characters drive the series along
The characters drive the series along and I looked forward to seeing every episode.Lumley is lovely of course, even when she makes a light snorting noise at at beautiful tall young blonde who crosses her path in the street. The hidden envy of age for beauty was in that slight tilt of her head.

Underrated gem
I caught the second series of this fantastic series by chance on BBC a while back and was hooked. The script, acting and the cinematography is beautiful, it manages to make London look nice and romantic!!! I disagree however, with people comparing this to z-list grade so called comedy like The Office. This is a series in a league of its own. Too bad BBC didn't commission a third series.

Could so easily watch a few more series
Ten out of ten for what is a very well scripted and acted piece of television. Could so easily watch a few more series.
