Bought this for a 4 night trip to Las Vegas since I didn't want to pay for carry-on. We flew through Frontier (which I do not recommend AT ALL since they delayed and then much later cancelled our return flight and didn't offer anything more than a $20 meal voucher to split between 2 people, but that's another story entirely) and they allowed one personal item per person, which is what I used the backpack as. It was perfect and I stuffed this baby as full as I could. Never had a problem.

I spent way more time that I would like to admit trying to pick the right travel bag before my trip for work. I was going to be gone for less than 5 days and needed to bring clothes, shoes and my laptop.Thinking this bag would be the solution to my problems, I let a friend borrow my carry-on luggage right before my trip, so I had nothing but this bag to rely on. If you bring shoes, be prepared to not bring much else. The shoe compartment accounts for a lot of space in the body of the bag. I ended up having to carry my shoes and toiletries in a gift shop tote just so I had room for my clothes. It was incredibly inconvenient.Now I just use this bag for my laptop and associated equipment like cords and a travel monitor, and for the random needs, books, snacks, and whatever else I need access to that goes in my suitcase. And that's what this should be purchased for. All the pockets and compartments are great for miscellaneous travel things. But using this for traveling might not work out for people who bring options with them.Also, the water bottle pocket can't hold a standard water bottle, and that makes zero sense. I'm not talking a oversized travel bottle, i mean just a regular bottle of water.

Good bag! Worked for my personal item stuffed full with everything needed for a 4 day trip to a warm destination. Didn't need a separate carry-on.
