The replacement process was super easy and took all of a half hour
Purchased this to replace a motor that was completely dead and no longer working. The replacement process was super easy and took all of a half hour, which included time from the start of pulling the lens/grill off and to the end when I put the lens/grill back together. I double checked the part number for this motor with the Nutone product pages to make sure that this would indeed fit my application just to be sure. After a year and 6 months of use the motor is still going strong with no hint of an issue. This motor was an exact match for the motor that I removed from my bathroom fixture both internally and aesthetically.

Fit pretty good with old housing
Fit pretty good with old housing. Had to do a little modifying on the aluminum reflector for the motor to clear it. It is super quiet. I love that. But I don't think it is near as fast as the original motor. But it seems to work pretty good. I am pretty happy with it.

Works ok, but had to add shims to install. Not exactly silent, but saved me from changing out the entire assembly.

Exact replacement
I was finally done with this but not exactly looking forward to putting up a new one. Put in top of the line Panasonic tonight. Installation was let's say advanced but not too difficult. If you have an apartment beg your landlord. If you have a home and cannot install the Panasonic I figure it is going to be about $250 just for installation by a plumber. I have a cat that actually uses the toilet! He does not flush though lol. The broan when it worked took 4 hours to clear the odor. The Panasonic takes 15 minutes! There is no comparison. I highly suggest to only get Panasonic. It is much bigger but it means business. The broan was average 25 years ago. The Panasonics are top of the line today. Plus you can get a great price on amazon. I am skilled but this is really a two person job. Trust me if you have any old ratchety fan you want a Panasonic. I am not trying to sell it to you it is just the best and that is a fact. For the labor you will do you will be set for at least 20 years. I know I typed a lot about this but why short change yourself on these things. If you took a shower everyday something the broan could result in thousands of dollars of damage to your bathroom. Just not worth it. It will be difficult even for a plumber but it will be worth it. so this story is over now.12/2015 this motor failed. Did not last very long. I will just replace this junk old fixture with a quality Panasonic. It will just be more work. Motor was not a quick fix. It is not this particular motor this fixture is just junk. It was a cheap builders model to begin with. The specs are exactly the same as the original. There is no reason it should not move as much air. Keep in mind this is a old unit for a small bathroom. 70cfm and 4 sones are terrible specs. The replacement should be no better and no worse. If this is not acceptable look for a complete replacement unit with better specs.I gave it 5 stars because it is a direct replacement with the same specs. However it is not oem and it states that in the description. Oem is no longer made. That is now zero stars. It failed in a year. Not the fault of this motor. These broans are just junk. You want a Panasonic because it has a real capacitive motor. Even new broans do not. If you are going to tear out your celling now make sure it is for good. I only recommend Panasonic. I am not a sales rep. I just happen to know which is the Cadillac of fans. Won't break the bank on amazon either. DIY will be difficult or what will be expensive is a plumber. You will be glad you did this. Plus heater works instantly. broan could not even raise the temp 10 degrees after 2 hours. The heater will need to be replaced in 15 years and is very difficult but the exhaust fan should last longer than any adult. Well in my other bathroom I was using the heater 45 minutes each day times 2 people. If you use it like 20 minutes that shall probably outlast you as well. Plus you can get parts in the unlikely event you need them. New models have very efficient lighting as well.I did not mean to write an essay about this. Just be done with this headache. If you want to save money and get a new different brand than Panasonic it should last 10 years. For tearing out my ceiling while I held 60 pounds in one hand I wanted it to be the last time.

1/2 the air flow of 665N, exact fit
2015-12-055 for exact fit2 for air flowI have 3 of the Netone 665N bathroom exhaust fans in our home. When one died I replaced it with this. The fan speed and air flow is maybe 1/2 of the other 2, which are 20 years old. This is noted in reviews from several year ago. It's a shame Nutone quit supporting this product and that this doesn't have more power.

Exact Replacement for Nutone 668 Bathroom Fan
I looked far and wide for a replacement motor for my old Nutone 668 bathroom fan which was loud and finally seized the other day. The fan was discontinued in 1970 according to Nutone! The motor was discontinued as well. I thought I was done for and needed to replace the whole unit which might mean a lot of work including cutting into drywall and new ductwork. But this motor solved the problem. It appears to be a generic without any serial numbers or motor ID number. But the product was nearly identical to the original one down to the length and diameter of the shaft. So all in all, I'm pretty happy. The replacement took about 15 minutes. It worked like a charm. Why only 4 stars? One word....price! This motor costs more than twice as much as general fan replacement motors. But unless you find a near replica and don't mind doing some cutting and modding, you don't have much choice.

Motor works perfectly, thanks
The search gave me the exact replacement motor that I needed for my aging shower exhaust fan. Buying an new exhaust fan and light was out of the question because it would involve an electrician, a tile man, and mismatched replacement tiles. The old unit works now like new
