Thermalright AM5 CPU Contact Frame for Secure Frame Kit Anti-Bending Buckle Black

I got this thinking it would look cool even though I won’t see it at all haha. But seen there are good results in temps. Have to say there were no jokes it is amazing results. Money wise it is great pricing. They even provide paste with the item. It’s easy to install. Fitting it is no hassle. It’s durable it’s nothing flimsy you can trust it holding your cpu.

Great color. Nice looking contact frame. Used this on my first build. Can't really see it too much under the cooler... and I can't really attest to the performance compared to other options. All I can say is it looks nice, it's easy to install, and it is very affordable. Also came with thermal paste. Very good deal.

People will tell you that you don’t need it but for the price it’s such an easy upgrade and it gives you the peace of mind when building your first PC, I didn’t have to worry about thermal paste spilling over onto your CPU, you can tell it’s great quality and it fit my AMD 5 ryzen 7 9800X3D perfectly, I don’t know how much it will improve cooling but it sure looks good and worth the $10 and a added bonus it came with thermal paste.

Its a contact frame good for budget and better then the traditional CPU hold down method also helps with temps I noticed a 3 degree decrease in thermal temps.

Built a new system after Prime Days. Used this contact frame because it multi pressure points made sense to me. Very nice looking, until it gets covered-up. LoL Very well made, fit like a glove. Would use it again. Highly recommend. BTW, I mounted the CPU before removing the factory motherboard CPU clamp to make sure if I dropped anything pins would not get damaged. The AM5 CPU IHS shape leads to a thermal paste mess in all of the notches around the sides. A contact frame helps to close those gaps. This one from thermalright did the trick. It was a quick and easy install, swapping this in for the standard retention bracket.

I'm glad it securely fits on the motherboard, as well as around the CPU. I like that my cooler can more directly make contact on the CPU and cooling difference is noticeable from the stock bracket. I say it's relatively easy to swap the stock bracket even if you're a beginner. Just a few hardware and you're done.

excellent, and it seems in the pictures that it's plastic, but no it’s aluminum as described, and it comes with its own screw driver , I recommend it, I mean you don't need to buy the red one for triple the price

Looks FAR better than the original mounting bracket that came with my motherboard. Prevents thermal paste from getting into the cpu but sadly did not change thermals as far as I can tell. It is worth it for looks and design alone.
