Great mat of a good size that has excellent grip on the back to prevent slipping. Just leave in the sun or a warm place for a couple of hours to uncurl fully before use and you're away! Saves scuffing or damage to your jump rope.

The Fitness Mad Skipping Mat iis a good addition to the skipping equipment. It does indeed cushion your steps, though I'm happy with my trainers with a gel insert anyway. More important to me is that it protects the rope from abrasion on a concrete or hard surface. Of course it may be the other way around for you i.e. you want to protect your floor from the rope. I was a bit surprised by how loud the hit of the rope on the mat is. Also the mat had a little curl up at one end due to it being packaged in a tight roll - I'll store it rolled the other way for a time to correct this. II thought the markings on the mat would be pointless but they were actually useful to help keep aligned on the mat, seen at the edge of your field of view.

I've added this Fitness Mad Thick Exercise Equipment Mat to my home gym, so that I have a place to do my stretches and light workouts such as jumping rope, without making much noise while also being comfortable. The polyvinyl chloride material of the mat helps absorb the impact sounds of my skip rope and such, without being damaged as it is also a high durable quality. It also has anti-slip features so I don't have to take it easy or worry when I am exercising. I like the 1M alignment line which helps me stay aligned with a focal point throughout my workouts. The mat is quite heavy compared to other mats though, so I wouldn't use it when I am out and about and have decided to simply leave it in my home gym. It's a great quality mat and definitely worth it.

Great quality product, made out of very good materials. My garden’s floor is all rocks and I’ve set up a little home gym in there. With my previous mat (which is softer on the touch) whenever I’d lay down on it, I’d still feel the rocks (not uncomfortable, but you’d know they are there). With this one you don’t feel anything. Very surprising on how the material still feels soft but holds structure to the point of “hiding” what is under the mat. Only downside I can find on this product is the fact that it’s not a full body length yoga mat (120 cm length), but personally that is not something that bothers me as I can still do my exercises normally. At the time of the review, it’s priced at £24.99. I think this is an expensive product even though you are paying for the quality but I do think it’s overpriced. I think setting up the RRP at £15 would be a more suitable choice. Honest Review: 8/10

The Fitness mat arrived packed neatly. The fitness mat is thick and made out of great quality PVC and it’s tested by Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Level 1. It has a decent size of 1.2m (L) x 59cm (W) x 4.5mm (D). This mat has a great cushioning support and prevent from slipping. I am more than happy to recommend.
