Step by Step 1B -- An Introduction to Successful Practice for Violin: Book & Online Audio (Step by Step (Suzuki))

This is a great gem, not sure why it is not popular with Suzuki teachers..

I like this book for its detailed instruction for our violin practice. The only complain is the CD tracks don't match with the Suzuki songs. So we have to listen to the CD tracks from Suzuki book I for the songs written by Suzuki. It was a little frustrating to find out this discrepancy. I know it was due to copyright issue but the book wouldn't point out how to use the CD on the actual songs written by Shinichi Suzuki. It is confusing for the kids and parents who rely on instructions from the book.

This series of tuturials are great books for beginners to the violin. I cannot praise the author enough. They come with a CD which is great as you soon know where you are going wrong and whether you are playing at the right speed etc. because a professional violist plays the tracks on the CDI would certainly recommend this series Step by Step to anyone wanting to learn the violin as a beginner.

My eight year old daughter started learning violin this year and this is the book series that her teacher wanted her to have. These books follow the Suzuki style of learning and are very nicely laid out and easy to understand. I would highly recommend for any child who has aspirations of learning the violin.

Excellent book! I love it! Hard to stop playing the violin with this book!

It's the book you expect.

The Step by Step books are good, but this one in particular, due to copyright issues does not include any of the book one pieces written by Suzuki. The open domain pieces by Bach, etc are included and the practice help for those is pretty good.

Good book for beginner

Perfect. Just what I was looking for.

Libros muy prácticos. Ayudan a practicar el violín con niños, aunque no tengas ni idea de música. Yo al principio he necesitado a un profe para asesorar en temas de postura y demás.

Fantásticos libros. Ojalá algún día lo publiquen para viola. Me sirve para mis clases, hoy en día con todas las aplicaciones que existen.... se adapta.

Cada pieza de este conocido método, es desarrollada punto por punto, ejercicio a ejercicio para desarrollar las habilidades necesarias para su ejecución. Viene con CD con acompañamiento de piano. Excelente.
