got it for my girl school project, good reading.

One of my favorite series of all time. T.A. Barron fills in the gap in the history of the great wizard. How did Merlin gain his powers? What was his childhood like? The series stands the test of time, I discovered the series as a young boy, and revisited as an adult in my twenties. I enjoyed it just as much as I did as when I was a child. Anyone who enjoys science fiction/fantasy will love this book, I guarantee it.

This series is not just for kids.....or it is for the kid still living in adults. These books have changed my life. TA Barron is an amazing story teller and clearly has real esoteric knowledge that he is weaving into his tale of Merlin. These books will kindle the flames of imagination and wonder for the magic that lives in this world and is born out of our hearts. Do yourself a favor and enjoy them!

The merlin saga is SO RAD! I read these years ago when I was but a youngster, and my brother is the same age as I was so I bought this and the other books for him and hes hooked. Great buy as a gift, or if you like Harry Potter type stories!

My 12 yr old is pretty obsessed with this serious. It's at the top of his Christmas list.

Read the series once before back in middle school. Never finished it so I decided to start again. Light enough for a child but exciting enough to entertain, especially if you enjoy mythology.

Fantastic series. As a teacher I read the first book as a class activity and it opens up who Merlin is as a young person. Barron does well with story development and keeps the reader off balance enough to keep you reading and interested.

This series is fabulous, especially for fans of King Arthur.
