Fun plane to build that looks like a model!
I really like LEGO. I guess you could say that I like the idea of LEGO, because they are so ridiculously expensive to the point that I almost find it disappointing. I told myself I would only be tempted to buy a set if they had a plane worth putting together. Lo and behold, I found this model by a competitor, COBI. If this is an example of the quality and attention to detail you get from COBI, I can’t recommend them enough. Full disclosure, I’m 53 years old and I haven’t bought anything like this in over 40 years. COBI says their bricks are compatible with LEGO, but I honestly could care less. COBI makes reasonably priced items of vehicles that I find interesting to build. The only negative as far as my wife is concerned is that these brick sets do take up a lot of room, so you have to plan ahead as to whether or not you have a place for them to display. Anyway, back to this particular model it resembles an F4U Corsair. The gull wings fold up. It looks awesome. It was fun to assemble. I recommend this item if you’re into models, WWII planes and definitely Corsairs.I’ve already ordered my next COBI brick set, the 747. My wife can’t wait. ;)

Very nice set, slightly difficult instructions, but worth it.
Great lego-like set. The instructions could be a little bit better, same for how the pieces are sorted. You really need to open up all the bags in the first set since the pieces are spread out, and it can be hard to figure out exactly which piece since some, especially the 2-pip ones are very close in size.

Cool plane
I like this plane. It was fun to build but you need to open all the bags to find the parts you need for each step. The kit comes with two large bags and inside each large bag, there are several smaller bags. Only the large bags are numbered. Some parts needed for the initial steps are not in the first large bag, they are in the second large bag. Other than some difficulty finding a few parts, the plane is easy to build. In the instructions, it is tricky to identify a few parts because of the dark blue color. However, once you look through the parts, you can identify the part indicated in the instructions. The plan is well designed and looks like it should even though it is mostly made of blocks.

Looks Great
This set looks great when completed but it is more unstable than other Cobi sets I have put together.

Very happy plane loving 9yo
My 9yo was in heaven building this plane. Corsairs are his favorite! The build was not difficult for him and the design is pretty spot on. Unfortunately the propeller did not last long. One of the blades broke off shortly after the build. It has been dropped a few times and partially rebuilt without any other pieces breaking. Overall very satisfied with this product.

Awesome plane! His favorite in history…
Husband is a Lego fanatic. But he has a love for history and planes so he wanted this set for Christmas. He loves it! He wants more sets from this company now since the quality and attention to details are awesome.

Another great build from cobi
This is my 5th set from them and as usual great quality and fun build. I like that that number the bags now. Unlike earlier sets you pretty much had to empty all the pieces out and when its in the 600s or more its alot. Definitely recommend this company.
