Gourmet Spice Company Fig and Date Aged Balsamic Vinegar 100 ml

I used to buy a fig & date vinegar from a local farm shop but it got discontinued. Looked in vain for a good replacement for weeks, then came across this. Fabulous rich flavour & perfect texture. Yum.

Never bought such a tiny bottle of salad dressing before; for £6.99 the size was quite a surprise. But hey, it’s a cute bottle!Flavour wise nothing special imho. Maybe I was wrong in expecting more like a glaze product with added sweetness and depth of flavour from dates.I prefer balsamic glaze instead.

Lovely thick, reduced texture which is usually only round in the balsamic glazes (and often containing sugar and other addictive).Just the right hint of natural sweetness which balances out the acidity of the vinegar.

Had Turkey Sausages with Instant Mash and Three Bean Chilli beans this evening (boring)!Poured Date and Fig Balsamic onto the Bangers! WOW!!! Absolutely turned a cheap dish into a very s3xy meal!Try it. You won't regret it.
