Naturtint - Permanent Hair Colorant - 1N Ebony Black, 5.28 fl oz

Having recently taken up a non-toxic 'beauty' regime, I thought I'd give this a go. The upside: no irritating celeb' endorsements/advertisements, easy to apply (no fiddly squeezy tubes or whatever) and left my hair in really nice condition (most colourants leave my hair feeling a bit like hay); also it covered up my stubborn bits of grey The downside: the ingredients list, reproduced below to assist others with their choice of purchase. You could do a lot worse than this product, it all depends on how much of a purist you are. In terms of result, it beats some of the mainstream brands. I N G R E D I E N T S : - NATURTINT: PEG-2 oleamine, purified water, cocamide DEA, alcohol denat., propylene glycol, oleic acide, ehtanolamine, p-phenylenediamine, sodium sulfite, tetrasodium EDTA, hydrolysed vegetable protein (triticum vulgare, soy, corn, avena sativa), sodium erythorbate, N,N-BIS (2-hydroxyethyl)-p-phenylenediamine sulfate, 2-amino-4-hydroethylaminoanisole sulfate, 4-chlororesorcinol. COLOUR DEVELOPER: purified water, hydorgen peroxide, cetyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, laureth-e, cetearth-20, oxyquinoline sulfate. NUTRIDEEP MULTIPLIER: purified water, distearoylethyldimonium chloride, cetearyl alcohol, linseed extract, lemon fruit water, sunflower extract, hydrolysed wheat protein, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, cetyl alcohol, parfum, d-limonene, citric acid. SHAMPOO: purified water, sodium cocoamphoacetate, glycerine, lauryl glucoside, disodium cocoyl gluatemate, sodium lauryl glucose carboxylate, cocamidopropyl betaine, cocamide DEA, decyl glucoside, linseed seed extract, polyglyceryl-4 diisostearate/polyhydroxystearate/sebacate, sodim benzoate, potassium sorbate, eucalyptus globulus oil, rosemary oil, citric acid, sodium chloride. The best organic black you can buy in my opinion. Sticks like s@@t and lasts forever. One bottle does a shoulder length hair. Nice smell and easy to use. No allergic reactions using this stuff. Excellent shiny black colour.

Very good product, I purchased the gel, I have removed 1 star because amount of the activator to the colourant is not equal. I have used all of the activator and I have more colourant. This is a change which is not cost effective.

I have an allergy to hair dyes mainly the PPD but bought this on the strength of reviews. Luckily i did a test and had a horrendous reaction, for which I'm still having to take steroids ten days after. Think the PPD should be highlighted more, be careful !

Prefer using this to going to a salon. The instructions are easy to follow. Just keep some skin toner nearby to wipe away any bits that have somehow got onto your face/neck. :)

This is the only hair colour I can use that doesn't make my scalp itch. Also found the colour keeps better and longer than most others I've used, and keeps my hair soft between colours.

this made my head itch and left a strange residue in my hair...perhaps i didnt rinse it properlly... but i wont use it again

Ich habe eine weile nach der perfekten Haarfarbe gesucht die gut Deckt und frei von Silikonen und Ammoniak ist und dann auch noch komplett ohne tierische Inhaltsstoffe und ohne Tierversuche. Das es tierversuchsfrei ist war mir am wichtigsten doch das es schonender ist als andere Haarfarben und dann auch noch super hält (dauerhafte Coloration) macht das ganze Produkt für mich perfekt. Einziger Minuspunkt, da es aus UK kommt war die Versandzeit mit ca 1 Woche für mich recht lang, wobei das ja immernoch im Rahmen ist doch wenn man beschliesst sich die Haare färben und das so schnell wie möglich, sollte man das einplanen oder man sollte einfach auf reservere bestellen und merkt man das es zur neige geht gleich nachbestellen, doch das sollte ja machbar sein.
