A bit of a mixed bag. Sort of does the job, but a few faults too.
The plunge mechanism is faulty by design and jams at the merest speck of dust floating past. After taking the device apart and filing a part down to add some dirt clearance, it worked after that.A second problem with the plunge mechanism is that there is a grub screw that comes loose every 2 minutes as it isn't lock-tighted in. This prevents full movement. Again this can be fixed by monkeying about.A third problem (well maybe not) is that on a really heavy kit, the fuse goes. Its possible I abused the tool here, so I'll let that one go.I got this particular model because I thought the fixed track would be useful. In reality, it isn't. Its too fiddly to set up, doesn't run smooth and the supplied clamps have all the strength of a dead fish. I just found myself getting a length of wood and using that as a fence guide.Despite all of that, it is not a bad little saw, once you've worked past the faults.

Good value for money
This saw can't live up to the likes of Festool, but when on offer it is great value for money. Whilst the depth of the cut is not very deep, and the availability of blades is quite low, for most jobs this gives a really great cut. The track that comes with it is too short, and even the extension track seems too short. I've been told the festool tracks fit this OK, but have not checked if this is the case. Also, it doesn't bevel. If you want to make straight cuts for home projects it does the trick nicely. It has reasonable safety features, seems reasonably well built. There's clearly a quality difference between this and more expensive plunge saws. However, for someone with a tight budget it's a good buy.
