Best for cold brew
Pretty solid coffee. It's got an amazing aroma, however I feel I get the best flavor out of it when I use it for cold brew in my French press, it has a smokey hint to it - not burnt though. For regular brew I feel like it's lacking more of a punch that I'm used to such as in peet's major dickasons blend. But overall recommended.

It Depends
After putting this coffee through my french press I was ready to give it one stary. It was awful, disgusting. But for some reason, I decided to give it a chance in my espresso machine, and it was f***ing glorious. I haven't tried it in drip, but it's the best coffee I've ever used for espresso. This was the dark roast.

Great coffee with a smokey finish
This is great coffee. Sharp, sweet, and smooth, with a smokey finish, and good medium body. It's not the strongest or boldest dark roast out there, but it's tasty and has no bad qualities. At this price it can't be beat.I grind fine with a conical burr, brew 3tbsp/6oz at 205F in a chemex, drink it uncut and right away. If you like medium bodied, smokey coffee, you'll like this coffee.

Smooth flavor
Coffee has a light clean flavor, very smooth. I personally like a bit stronger taste on my dark roast, so I'm going to try another one next time.I ground the beans fresh, they smelled heavenly and then brewed it on "strong", but it still needed deeper flavor for my liking. It did however make a nice smooth cold brew.

Old Beans and Not Very Strong
Well, the beans vere SLIGHTLY oily but I could see and smell they werent fresh. On tasting it, it has an OK taste but to me seemed on the weak side. Nothing special at all about it. Maxwell House extra bold is much better coffee, and it isn't even in the same ball park as Seattle's Best. I think we'll stick with the "Best"WARNING: If you order this and find out you dont care for it either, YOU HAVE NO RETURN PRIVILEDGE! Amazon doesnt accept returns on this. So we'll drink the rest of the bag and move on. Lesson learned.

Rich, dark, delicious. After a recent dinner at a very good restaurant, I was served a cup of the best coffee I had tasted in years. I asked the waiter what it was, he checked with the chef and said it was Don Tomas. I ordered it that night. Even better to know that the purchase is helping to educate children in Nicaragua.

Not very rich in flavor and only came with 13 oz of coffee not 16 oz.
I havent used the coffee yet, it does smell good though. My only complaint is the item is listed as 1 pound (16 oz.) The entire packade weighed in at 14 oz. So maybe 13 oz total of coffee. And they will not accept returns or make reimburstments. So in all the coffee is over priced. And yes my cheap little scale is calibrated.UPDATE: the coffee isnt rich in flavor as others in its price range. Try Caribou mahogany dark roast, much better and cheaper per oz.

Three Stars
I like the coffee but 75% thru, it seems that there are old beans. Really ruin the experience.
