Fantastic value for money, my dog (bully) can't eat the real pigs ears because he tries to swallow them whole 🙄 These are a great alternative and great size too. Keeps him happy for a few minutes. The quality is good and they are a good alternative to rawhide

I thought I'd try my 7 month old German Shepherd on these for a couple of reasons. 1) I don't like treating my dog by feeding deep fried animal bits. 2) You cant be sure where the deep fried ears have been manufactured & there are a lot of concerns around contaminates in dog treats from China. My dog absolutely loves the veggie ears. They are quite large and last him around 10 minutes (he is a very strong chewer!). They are much healthier for him & don't smell (unlike real pigs ears). They arrive in a sturdy cardboard box so are easy to store in a cupboard. We've also tried the Whimzees box of assorted chews - he loves those too.. so I no longer need to have dead animal pieces lurking around my home!

The dogs love these. And being made from veggie material they don't make the greasy mess (or attract flies) like a real pigs ear. Better for the pigs too! All Whimzee chews are made from only 6 natural ingredients so they aren't full of hidden nasties or sugar like a lot of other so called dental chews. Also it takes them a good 20 to 30 mins to demolish one whereas a normal chew takes less than 5 minutes. Only downside is that they are a little pricey.

My girls love all the veggie chews, first time getting hedgehogs, they are a good shape for helping with teeth cleaning, keeps my new pup busy as she plays with it first before eating it, shame they didnt come in the box as advertised, works out £1 each which is cheaper than i can buy them anywhere else.

These are quite soft treats which take our Labrador about a minute to eat! He loves them though so the flavour must be good! My wife is convinced the oil in the bars is what makes our lab have such a shiny coat which everyone comments on. At nearly £1 a bar they are not cheap but we think they are worth the £.

Wie mein Hund findet: Die beste Alternative zum typischen Kauknochen :-) Er ist mit dem Knabbern und Kauen des Igels gut beschäftigt. Zudem bereitet der Igel dem Magen keine Schwierigkeiten, da gut bekömmlich.

dentale PREMESSA: Eravamo un po’ in paranoia nella scelta di uno snack che potesse aiutare la pulizia della nostra cagnolina, che durasse il più possibile alle sue fauci mica male e che non contenesse ingredienti che la portassero all’ingrasso. Abbiamo quindi deciso di spendere tanto e provare questi whimzees. CONTENUTO DELLA CONFEZIONE: La confezione è cartonata e, una volta aperta, sembra un dispenser da negozio. Parlando della taglia “large”, la confezione contiene 12 snack, di forme diverse: coccodrilli, porcospini, spazzolini (2 diversi colori) e stecche. DESCRIZIONE: Coccodrillo e porcospino sono cavi al loro interno ma, come per le altre due forme, hanno una parete bella spessa, rigida, che fa subito pensare a qualcosa difficile da spezzare. In effetti è proprio così, di tutti gli snack per l’igiene dentale che abbiamo provato, questi sono quelli più resistenti al morso. Nonostante in certi periodi sia capitato di somministrare spesso questi snack alla nostra cagnolina (mai più di uno al giorno), mantenendo uguali tutte le altre regolari forme di alimentazione, non abbiamo notato aumenti di peso fuori norma. La conformazione esterna degli snack li rende probabilmente anche gradevoli nella stimolazione delle gengive. Fatto sta che la nostra cagnolina riesce a mantenere i denti puliti, ed è sicuramente anche merito dei whimzees. Ah, cosa di non poco conto, lei li gradisce molto. Il porcospino è alto 7 cm ed ha una forma tozza, il che lo rende il più resistente al masticamento; gli spazzolini sono lunghi 14,5 cm; il coccodrillo 12 cm; infine la stecca è lunga 17,5 cm ed è affusolata, per questo è la meno resistente (ribadisco, queste misure sono tutte relative alla forma “large”). Gli ingredienti sono tutti di origine vegetale ed il componente principale è l’amido di patate (potete leggere la lista completa in foto). Questo alimento complementare è adatto a cani dai 9 mesi in su. Ah, dimenticavo, la nostra cagnolina pesa 24 kg ed ha 2 anni. PRO: Buoni (a detta di chi li mangia), resistenti, efficaci, non fanno ingrassare. CONTRO: La forma a stecca è troppo facile da masticare. CONCLUSIONI: Costano, ma sono i migliori.

Li conoscevo già, per cui sono andato sul sicuro nell'acquisto. Prodotto arrivato con 2 giorni di anticipo rispetto ai pronostici. Comoda confezione di cartone che funge anche da dispenser, sembra un espositore da negozio per capirci. Comprende 16 pezzi di ogni tipo: lo stick, lo spazzolino ed il coccodrillo. Li ho presi della misura Small (nelle foto vi rendete conto delle misure di ogni pezzo) per il mio barbone nano di 5 kg. Devo dire che c'è da lavorare, sono molto duri, ci perde molto più tempo rispetto alle altre marche più blasonate che si trovano in giro per cui, mettendoci molto, l'azione spazzolatrice sui denti è più prolungata e quindi migliore. Fatica un bel pò per romperlo ma non per questo perde interesse. Sono completamente naturali e vegetali, a base di cellulosa, patate e malto, per cui credo appetibili da quasi tutti i nostri amici pelosi. Attenzione che sulla scatola è riportato che non devono essere dati a cuccioli sotto i 9 mesi... probabilmente perché sono mooolto duri. Prodotto consigliatissimo per questa confezione risparmio. Da non farselo sfuggire!

Vor Jahren gab es ähnliche Bürsten von Edeka und unser Hund hat sie geliebt. Da musste man die Tüten immer wegpacken damit er sich nicht selbst bedient hat. Und unser Hund hatte immer schön gepflegte Zähne. Irgendwann gab es die Bürsten bei Edeka nicht mehr. Unser Hund ist älter geworden und bisher tat sich für mich kein Ersatz auf, der die guten alten Edeka Zahnbürsten ersetzen konnte. Nun habe ich durch Zufall die Whimzees Zahnbürsten entdeckt. Die Freude war groß, ich habe direkt die große Box mit 75 Zahnbürsten bestellt. Selbst Schuld. Ich hätte ja auch erstmal ein paar einzeln bestellen können, die es ja auch gibt. Das Paket kam an, die Freude war zunächst groß. Ich habe unserem Hund direkt eine Zahnbürste gegeben, auch er hat sich im ersten Moment gefreut, da die Whimzees Zahnbürsten genau den gleichen angenehmen Geruch wie die von Edeka seinerzeit verströmen. Doch ich hab mich schon gewundert, der Hund versucht eine halbe Stunde verzweifelt ein Stück Bürste abzubeißen, doch es gelingt nicht. Irgendwann hat er ein Stück losbekommen und hat sich direkt daran verschluckt. Also schonmal 2 Sterne Abzug für die Bewertung. Dann habe ich mir die Bürsten mal näher angeschaut. Mir ist es nicht! möglich, die Bürste in irgend einer Form mit den Händen zu verformen. Geht nicht. Ich schaffe es nichtmal, die Bürsten in der Mitte durchzubiegen. Die sind einfach steinhart. Zum Vergleich damals die Edeka Bürsten waren auch sehr fest, aber man konnte sie problemlos verbiegen oder mit den Händen durchbrechen, wenn der Hund keine ganze Bürste auf einmal fressen sollte. Bei den Whimzees Bürsten unmöglich. Ich habe versuchsweise eine Bürste in warmen Wasser eine halbe Stunde eingeweicht, danach ist zumindest die Oberfläche der Zahnbürste etwas weicher und unser Hund kann sie dann auch fressen. Aber das kann eigentlich nicht Sinn der Sache sein. Entweder habe ich steinalte Lagerware erhalten, oder die Whimzees Zahnbürsten sind tatsächlich so hart. Damit sind sie vielleicht für junge Hunde mit 100% intakten Zähnen zu verwenden, aber für ältere Hunde definitiv nicht. Und das obwohl unser Hund noch alle Zähne hat. Auch die Gefahr des verschluckens dieser steinharten Brocken sollte man nicht unterschätzen. Insgesamt daher nur 2 Sterne.
