Works fine in a MacBook Pro A1278
I used this to install a second drive on a MacBook A1278. It fitted perfectly and worked right away. They instructions supplied only show how to fit the drive into the caddy but to be fair there are so many different laptops around it would be difficult to cover all models. I searched on the web and found a video which showed the process step by step. Good product and definitely recommended

Good caddy to replace an optical drive
I got this so I could add a second SSD to my MacBook. It fits in the perfectly where the optical drive used to sit. Just remember to remove the connecter and screw holder from the optical drive and add them to the caddy. my second SSD works well in this.

Good bye DVD drive, Hello SSD!
Added an extra 960GB SSD to my laptop. Who the hell wants a DVD drive when you can have a an extra SSD???Not much i can say about this caddy really part from it's been perfect and easily a great buy for anyone wanting to replace their DVD drive with a hard drive.Can't really think what else to say about it to be honest part from it was a bargain and was a breeze to fit

Easy to install
it does what it says, it comes without a side panel so you can fit one from your DVD drive, very pleased.

Works perfectly on late 2008 unibody Mac book Pro.
DVD drive on my late 2008 aluminium Mac book Pro died.Replaced it with this, and installed a second HDD.Easy and effective. Instructions were good. Up and running in about 20 mins, if you're reasonably confident at poking around inside your laptop, which, if you're considering replacing your DVD drive, you should be.
