Lack of Power - The longer the cable, the more resistance and power loss, and hence requires more power from power supply. From 20ft length and up, the power loss is noticeable. Does not work for HUE Lightstrip Plus
This 3' cable did not work for my HUE Lightstrip Plus, which is the latest version of the light strip. Female adapter end on this cable was too small for the Hue power cord, and male end just would not go into the HUE power adapter. Specs on the product were correct at 2.1 x 5.5, but it does not fit so I'm out a few dollars.

Not recommended for anyone trying to extend Hue Play lights.
I wanted to give this a one star, but honestly that wouldn’t be fair. I bought 3 of these to extend 3 Hue Play lights, but they’re too small or too large or something. From my research they should have fit and worked. So for this instance and for anyone thinking of doing the same, it’s not recommended.

This worked perfectly as extension for an outdoor motion sensor security light on my garage. The light I bought came with a fixed 15 foot cord. I need to mount the solar panel charger on the back of my garage (because it faces south) and I needed more length than the 15 foot cord would afford me. This worked perfectly and gave me the extra length I needed. I just wrapped up the extra length around the mounting bracket and held it with a few zip ties. This is a "universal" cord, meaning that it shouldn't matter what voltage your device uses, as long as the two dimensions are the same as illustrated where the round plug-in end is, then it should work for you.

Successfully extend the power cable, no loss
Initially I was worried that the cable would be too long, and I'd suffer a drop in voltage at the camera. But this was not the case. I was easily able to extend my outdoor camera. Just had to cut the cable, make a small hole upstairs near a window, slide the cable through, and solder the cable back together. Camera powered up!

Perfect for installing tplink router far from power source.
Using this to install a router near the ceiling and plugging the power through the attic for minimal footprint.Good quality, non-flimsy cable, no issues with either ends of the plug, worked fine.Don't under estimate the length you need. I should have actually gotten 50 ft for ease.

Hanvex 2.1 MM cables are made well and great for adding length for any 12 volt product..I bought this cable for an Amcrest Ip camera and couldnt be happier with it...They come in white and black so you can match some things...If you need an extension cable you cant go wrong with Hanvex 12 volt cable....

Works Perfectly for My Needs
I needed this cable to run from a power supply on the floor to some LED strip lighting at the ceiling for one of the rooms in my apartment. It works perfectly, with no noticeable voltage drop as I know these cables at this length can experience, and the white blends into the beige wall so that I hardly even notice it. I liked it so much that I decided to install LED strips in another room and ordered a second of this same cable. A cheap and effective solution to having no overhead lighting.
