Great spice without too much heat
Great spice...sweet, smokey and just enough kick. Adds flavor and color. I use it instead of paprika.

fresh spices with a lot of flavor
upping my spice game, these are some of the more important spices for authentic mexican food preparation. this brand sell very fresh spices, and come in a convenient resealable bag, as each one is big enough to fill a spice jar twice.

Ancho Chili pepper powder
Wow, what a great flavor! I use this to make my own chili powder, and it does not disappoint. What a great slightly smoky flavor, as described by the vendor & arrived on the promised date.

A nice mild chili powder
I am unfamiliar with this chili powder, and I had been told it was a nice mild rub for meat. I could not find it in any of the local grocery or produce stores, so I purchased it off Amazon. Upon arrival, it smelled fresh, had a bright color, and tasted mild. I have mixed up the rub and found it to be a better addition to the rub than regular chili powder. It is mild, so keep that in mind if you like to cry or sweat when you eat. And, it does not have a chili type flavor. I cannot quite describe it, but I like it.

A Mild Chili - but noticable
This chili was added to a genuine Texas chili (no beans) for a church potluck for mostly mid western folks. While I like chili many factors hotter, I dare not make that for our congregation. Research showed that Ancho chili was that used mostly in USA when 'chili' was specified. I have used the unnamed chile for years with little thought, but after discovering the tantalizing chilis that are available, that fell into a dusty spot in the spice drawer. The ancho chili was a revelation. This had very light heat, but good 'chili' flavor. The congregation was pleased and I will use it again for large feedings. For myself? Chipotle. Good value, fresh product. Glad to find it available.
