This would have got 5 stars as it works really well, but was a little more tricky to set up than expected.When I first connected it to my laptop and TV, the TV reported that it did not recognise the resolution.I fiddled with the laptop display and finally found a screen resolution that the tv sort of recognised.However, the display on the tv was like a letterbox - full screen width but only 2/3 the height - totally unusable.Eventually after a bit more fiddling on the laptop, I went into the graphics card settings (in my case AMD Catalyst Control Centre) and found some more specific settings for the "VGA Dsiplay" output - in there was an option to adjust the image scaling to "full size panel"This gave me what i wanted and expected from the VGA to HDMI adaptor - full screen display of my laptop onto my TV.

A brief instruction sheet advising this would have been useful.
Worked well for me. Had to make sure that the TV was turned on last (after the PC booted up) for it to work, but I discovered that's normal procedure. A brief instruction sheet advising this would have been useful.

Excellent adapter
No problems at all installing and setting up, worked straight out of the box.Well packaged and looks to be well made, now got an old redundant Dell PC plugged into the TV for use as a media server.Great delivery in less than 24 hours, one happy customer!

Temperamental
Seems a bit temperamental. Some times it works and other times just a black screen. When this happens need to toggle selection of the HDMI input in the monitor a few times in the hope it will start working.

Simple to use, allows connection of Laptop with VGA port to monitor via HDMI port.
Plugged in to the VGA and USB ports on my laptop and now able to connect to my monitor using the HDMI Port.

Never heard of this sort of gizmo before. Now connects an old PC to a big TV screen.

Picture quality good, sound poor
Awful crackle when used. Picture quality good, sound poor. Tried with the HDMI cable I normally use. Excellent prompt delivery and good seller - just product let them down
