My main reason for buying this product was for the Bakuchiol. Bakuchiol is a plant-derived alternative to a retinoid that helps improve the turnover of skin cells and stimulates collagen. I am older and can wear my retinoid at night and this during the day. I have not any any negative side affects.

I have sensitive skin and am careful about skincare products, and I'm happy to say that this serum has been gentle and nonirritating, and has caused no weirdness or reactions. Although I'm 48, I'm fortunate to have very few wrinkles so far, thanks in part to genetics and also to Korean skincare products. This is one of the few products I've used recently that is not a Korean product, but I'd say it is comparable, quality wise.It's a little on the thicker side for a serum, as it's opaque and slightly lotion-like in consistency. However, it goes on smoothly and cleanly, with no residue. My skin feels hydrated and soft after use. I also apply it to my neck, and it absorbs and moisturizes without any stickiness. The price is on par with other similar products.I've docked one star because (1) it took a really long time to ship and to arrive. I don't know if that's typical, but by the time it arrived, I had completely forgotten that I ordered it. And, (2) for a product to get 5/5 stars for me, I have to be wowed. While this is a nice product, I have not noticed any WOW factor.
