I enjoyed it. Very easy, approachable, fun and interesting. Kind of like Cliff Notes for the Akkadian Empire. The fascinating pictures and images presented in the Kindle version are great because they are in color and you can zoom them and look in great detail. In the paperback version, the pictures are in black and white and not easy to see.

This book was quite interesting. Like all of the books in this series, it is succinct. That's not a bad thing. I had no clue who the ancient Akkadian people were. In a very short time, I learned quite a bit about them. It is a well written summary of known information. I highly recommend it even if you only have a passing interest.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Here I thought the Sumerian’s were the first civilization. Then to find the Akkadian Empire did it all first.Very interesting read. A wonderful history I wasn’t aware of before.Highly recommended for all history lovers.

I like that history presented here is not biased; it’s very straightforward. It made me realize how limited my knowledge was of the Mesopotamian civilizations which was solely influenced by reading the Bible, hence I have never given this part of history much thought until now. Reading this has given a broader view of more ancient civilizations aside from Egypt, China, and India.

Another detailed and comprehensive look at an ancient civilisation by 'Captivating'.There is a lot of fascinating information about their amazing achievements, so long ago.Due to a lack of definitive information, there's obviously a good deal of speculation and guesswork about what really happened.Plus, the timeframe jumps back and forth and there's repetition of multiple instances.Confess to skiming past all the references to fairy tales:- ancient myths and legends / curious religious beliefs, etc …..

I downloaded this book because I didn't know much about the Akkadian civilization.....that has been fixed! That was a very interesting & intriguing civilization.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I believe a day without learning something new is a wasted one. This book taught me many many new things about a culture I only thought was myth. If you are looking for a novel, this is not it. It reads more like a text book.

Another Home Run by Entralling History, all of their works are a must-read. Their historical research team is great.
