Good lap swimming shorts; thick material that allows for modesty
My husband and I swim 3x/week, and he goes through suits about 3 times faster than I do because most are thin and they become see-through fairly quickly. He also has trouble with them getting baggy. These trunks have held up really well so far. He likes the thicker material; we swim for fitness, not competition, so the drag isn't an issue. They're matte black, and lined really well through the crotch, which he likes a lot (it also looks better than the thin, shiny ones that show everything). These have maintained their fit and opacity really well thus far, and at a price point far lower than others he bought at sporting goods stores (for $50+). He also likes the length on these, as they're not as long as some. We're very happy with this purchase so far (it has been a couple of months, and we still can't see light through them). He ordered the black with grey trim.

Customer service saved the day
The low price of the Baleaf jammers lured me from Tyr polyester swim suits I have worn for many years. Other reviews noted the substantial thickness. Indeed, they are made of two layers of heavy material, making a bulky, slow-drying garment that is surprisingly heavy when sodden. Still, it was cheap. But after two months' use, the suit is losing elasticity, becoming wrinkled and baggy. It will do for a few more swims, but it looks and feels sloppy. Considering its initial faults and short life, it is not a good value.UPDATE:Within a week of submitting a critical review, I was contacted by a Baleaf representative who sent a replacement. I commend Baleaf on its outstanding--and unrequested--customer service. So, we'll return with further results after using this swimsuit awhile. Fingers crossed for an honorable company.

Never knew how awesome these could be!
This is my first experience with this type of swim kit. At first I tried to put them on like a normal pair of swim trunks and it did not go well. Then I realized they were more like a wetsuit and put them on accordingly. After that hurdle they are wonderful. As stated in other reviews, these are quite substantial, but they feel great on. Comfortable to swim in. I have been wearing them for about two weeks and will definitely buy another pair.

Really nice
Ordered the Mens Lrg/34 in black. I won't be swimming in them, but more for gym workout, biking, running, hiking. To get to the key points about the product.- Large 34 is perfect if you normally wear 32-33 pants.- Inseam for the Lrg/34 is 10" (I know many ask about this)- Has wide and thick waist band w/ flat shoelace type drawstrings embedded.- On the "protective" extra lining most ask about. There are none around the crotch area, but rather the entire shorts is double lined. Seriously. Its quite heavy duty and dense in feeling. Even if you stretch it, its not see through like typical compression shorts.- Stitching is really nice.- Well worth the price and I think its much better than the expensive Speedo's equivalent (which I have also)I am really pleased with this. I may order another if all is well after a few uses and wash cycles.

Great value
I bought these about 6 mths ago, swim laps in them three times a week, and they have not faded nor lost their 'stretchiness.' They cling to your body but they are comfortable. After each swim, I give them a good rinse, and once a week wash them with regular laundry. They still look new. I think that they're a great value for the money.I'm 6', 188 lbs, wear a waist size 34 in Levi's, and I ordered the trunks in size M. They fit just fine.Follow-up: I bought another pair, not because the first is worn out, but just for convenience. I've worn my first pair now for about a year, using them 3-4 times per week. They are still just fine -- haven't faded, haven't lost stretchiness, and no seam stretching or damage. They truly are a very, very good product and an exceptional value.

Decent suit, but be aware material is very thick
Overall this was a decent suit for the price. The material is very "thick", which has pros and cons. The pro is that they are more modest than typical spandex or lycra, which is nice if you prefer not to have an obvious outline of certain parts of your anatomy. And I guess the thickness probably helps with durability. The con is that they are very slow - the drag from the material is rather noticeable. After about a year of usage, the fit really started to deteriorate - sagging and losing cling. I now have to tie them super tight just to keep them from falling down when I push off the wall.

Durable is right!
Durable is a great word to describe these jammers. Compared to many other jammers I have worn in the past, these jammers feel thick. I ordered a 34 since my waist is 33 and a 32 sounded too tight; they fit perfectly. Definitely a great suit for training.

They fit great and seem to be well made
Ok, I just received these and tried them for the first time in the pool today. They fit great and seem to be well made. I'd give them 5 stars if they prove to be as durable as I hope. They're definitely thicker and made with 80-90 % polyester which should be very durable. They also are not see-through.
