First Time Purchase
So I have used Jan Marini or Skinceuticals FOREVER - but the face washes are pricing me OUT! So I went looking for something comparable, and found this. The reviews were great but I was curious about the % of glycolic acid in this vs JM. As it turns out, JM also uses a 12%glycolic acid in their gel face wash! I just rcvd this item, and I will use it for a couple of days and come back to let ya'll know how good it is.I am excited to try it! Its HALF the price!EDIT:One use and I can tell the difference in my skin! I am accustomed to actives like glycolic acid and retina/ol so I had no stinging, YMMV. I am 100% impressed with this, texture improved on one use (I have been out for a few weeks and used regular cleansers) I can feel the difference. Is it POSSIBLE its less strong than JM, maybe? But my face can't tell and for me, its not as drying. It took a nickel size to do my face and neck.I always rub it in my skin without water first, than wet my hands and massage my face and neck. Will purchase again.

It works GREAT!!
I am a licensed esthetician but I had been neglecting my own skin since I ran out of glycolic wash a while ago. My makeup was really starting to look awful on my aging skin so I knew I had to do something, but I also wanted to be careful since it had been awhile since doing any kind of exfoliation much less chemical.I ordered this product plus a glycolic peel from another vendor feeking like i wanted to "season" my skin before doing the peel. I have been using this product every other day for only one week and I have already noticed so much difference I don't think I am going to need the peel! For those of you new to peels please note that if your skin was really bad (aka breakoouts, scaly, poor texture), you are GOING to break out after a couple of days using this wash. This is completely normal and it is a sign that it is working properly- so do NOT stop using it! The acid is removing the old dead skin and allowing the new skin underneath to breathe. As it get exposed to air, the bacteria living in your pores causing pimples will rebel!!! (They dont like the air). Keep using the product!! It will continue to exfoliate you and create an unhealthy environment for the acne. It will clear after a few days, assuming you do not pick at it!It burns a little, this is normal, but it didnt make me red at all. I am super happy with the results! Good luck!

Love it!
I am 51, have combo/oily skin (still!) and wear sunscreen on my face every day. I have some uneven skin tone and some scarring on my cheeks where I don't normally get pimples but did. I started using this every night (my skin is pretty tough, no irritation for me) slight tingle near my eyes on crows feet but nowhere else, tingling stops after a few minutes. I have been using for about 3 weeks, it takes a TINY amount in your hand so this will last at least a couple of months with nightly use. I really feel that my skin tone is better and brighter, no more tiny pimples. Blackheads on nose and chin still there, but it certainly keeps them cleaner for longer- VERY happy with this product and will continue to use:)

Cleans perfectly....must hydrate after.
Love this stuff!!! It does dry out a little but it contains an acid so what do you expect. I wouldn’t wash and NOT follow up with a moisturizer or tinted CC cream at all. Definitely need to get some hydration back into your skin.It does a much better job than other products and I can feel the acid get where it needs and clean out the impurities, which is why I made the purchase.Gave 4 stars because of price. A bit higher than I would normally pay so I will be looking for a cheaper alternative next time. This go around I wanted the best to try glycholic acid since I haven’t used before. Already hooked after two days!

Good for exfoliation
I have very sensitive skin so I was cautious to make this purchase. However, I had a blemish that was buried too deep and I couldn't get it to come to a head to drain it. So I needed a strong exfoliant. The first time I used it I felt a little tingling in general and a tiny bit of soreness at the corners of my eyes and mouth. I applied a Cera Ve moisturizing cream and it subsided quickly. I continued to use it once daily being sure to rinse well and moisturize. After a few days, I stopped feeling any irritation. Note that these are the only dry areas of my face the rest tends to be extremely oily. So, perhaps the reviewers who had extreme sensitivity to this product have very dry skin. After about two weeks the blemish I called my "unicorn horn" dried up enough that I could peel off the dead skin and drain it. I've also used it on other bumpy areas of my body skin and it helps with that, also.I have seborrheic dermatitis, a condition that causes scaly patches and lesions. I hoped this product might be useful for keeping that under control, too. So far, it does seem to help.I have some other milia, calcium deposits and a couple of ingrown hairs I'm hoping this face wash will help resolve over time. And now that I've made myself sound like I have ogre skin... bottom line, this is a good product for exfoliation of the skin. Just be sure to rinse well and moisturize. It may be too harsh for very dry skin.

Works fine.
As a face wash, this works fine. It does have glycolic acid as an ingredient, but not the main ingredient as it states. Also, on the bottle, there is no mention of 12% glycolic acid, or any percent at all. It is a "fine" face wash, but I do not think it does anything that it claims.

Like it
I like this face wash. Haven't had any issues with dry skin, but I also only use it once or twice a week.

Freaking godsend for oily skin
This is a foaming cleanser with a mild scent. I absolutely believe the reviews that if you have dry or sensitive skin, this may be a bit much to use on a regular basis. I have oily, and I mean reallyreallyreally oily skin. By mid morning my skin is shiny, by afternoon I have to practically squeegee oil off my face. Everyone tells me how lucky I am that my skin will stay hydrated as I get old, but it sucks. It makes for blackheads, acne and a crappy make-up wearing experience. My skin does amazing with this - is this how people with normal skin feel? It's so clear and even and nice looking now..
