Worked well. The tapered tap is best for straightening damaged threads when the hole is deep enough to accommodate it.

My neighbor's 2007 Nissan Frontier 2.5L had a failure of the upstream A/F sensor. Nissan has a TSB available specifically for this vehicle about how hard the upstream A/F is to remove. This one was no different - the threads were completely stripped out (see photo). My normal O2 sensor thread chaser just wasn't going to "cut it." This tap set allowed me to restore the threads and install the new Bosch sensor (Bosch is the OE for this application) and the truck has been running with good fuel trims for the first time in a while, no issues at all. Easy to use, arrived quickly, and cut the threads correctly,

Threads on a stainless bung i welded into a pan needed to be chased. This tap was the fix.
