Are these gloves warm? I need them for winter as my hand quickly get cold.

They are soft, warm and brilliantly supple. The best gardening and outdoor working gloves I have bought "so far" (I am a bit over 50+). I can recommend them personally as I wore them this morning as I went out in the cold Herefordshire fog to feed our hens and collect wood for the fires. I use them for all the other outdoor jobs also.

What is the difference between the single option and gloves, gents option? Do you layer up? Or are the extra gloves for different tasks?

I’m sorry, I do not understand “Option”. I have always purchased either Gents or Ladies “Gold Leaf” and can say they are excellent gloves, they stand a lot of hard gardening, have tried a cheaper alleged similar glove will not do again.

Can someone tell me if they can be washed in the washing machine?

Because the leather we use is such high quality and unlike anything previously used in gardening gloves, we do not generally recommend washing our gardening gloves. However, we can recommend rinsing under a warm tap, or alternatively, washing in a bowl of warm soapy water whilst still on the hands and then most importantly of all, hanging to drip dry naturally. Cleaning in this way will help protect the leather and maintain the natural oils that are present, which afford the great dexterity, comfort and feel that our Gold Leaf Gardening Gloves offer. Having said all of this we have on numerous occasions received feedback from customers who have actually washed the gloves in a washing machine and still report that they are fine, but knowing leather as we do, we certainly do not recommend this.
