Kingston 64GB DataTraveler Elite G2 Black Metal Casing Fast 180MB/s R, 70MB/W USB 3.1 Flash Drive with LED light indicator (DTEG2/64GB)

I was reluctant to pay that much for a single USB flash-drive and it was much higher storage capacity than I needed, but reviews and recommendations were excellent. It seemed to be "the leader of the pack." I bought it to replace a package of cheap multi-colored flash-drives which were very defective, resulting in some loss of data attempting to use them to transfer files, plus multiple attempts to "check & repair" them failed because they kept getting corrupted. I ended up dumping them. This one is very solidly built, more so than any other I've ever had. It has worked flawlessly so far. It appears to be a classic case of getting what you pay for. No regrets and I expect to get many years of reliable service out it.

This is an excellent flash drive for electronic storage. The capacity is more than sufficient for my needs. Plus it is light-weight and easily carried in a purse or pocket. My previous experience with Kingston thumb drives has always been favorable. Works well.

Good size, good shape, narrow so doesn't pose problem for inserting other plugs alongside. Seems reasonably fast transference of docs. Probably good enough for five stars, but lost one for what I now see as a design fault, namely the drive has a cover over its interface which detaches from the stick when you need to use the drive. Perfectly fine if you don't lose the cover. I have never lost a cover until this one, and now I realize why covers should be attached to jump drives.

Very nice drive. I can copy large files to it at least ten times faster than the one I replaced! Metal housing has a high-quality feel (although I scratched the paint just by dropping it, so it may just be "feel" :)) and there are no useless frills.

I love how this feels. It has some weight to it, so it doesn’t feel cheap and flimsy. I’ve shown it to a few friends and they always go “oooh” and feel it’s weight in their hand. The cap snaps into place really well too. Plus it’s the newer kind of usb, so it’s faster, and I’m really happy with the amount of storage.

When you store irreplaceable files you want to be sure it won't end up getting corrupt on a bad drive and this is a very good quality thumb drive. If the cap fit on the opposite side while you were using it then it would be perfect. You have to pay attention where you set it when your working.

On the first test it run at W 22 MB/sec. I formatted it NTFS and the speed jumped to 29 MB/sec. It should have run at about 70 MB/sec. After a very very long search I learned that the Removal Policy must be set to "Better performance". I did it and the speed jumped to 71 MB/sec, almost constant.So, yes, used correctly it it does what it must do. Yes, I would recommend it without reservations.Update. I tested the write speed after several uses with about 10,000 small (about 50kb) and several hundreds photos (30Mb). The speed dropped to 5 MB/sec for small files and jumped to 40MB/sec for larger ones. I did a second test with hundreds of files of about 160 MB. The speed was 75 MB/sec flat. Please understand the meaning of the tests you do. Transfer of small files requires a lot of HD and computer work, hence slow. No connection to the device under test.

I use this thumb drive primarily as the repository for the database used by my POP3/SMTP email client. It gets lots of short random reads and writes, and this USB thumb drive performs well in this environment. I've had devices that performed better on long reads and long writes, but they typically are lousy when it comes to short random reads and especially lots of short random writes.

Meu chamou muito a atenção o peso do pendrive, já que nunca tinha encontrado um pendrive com um peso tão significativo. A Kingston está de parabéns pela robustez de seu produto, e pela qualidade em sua performance no armazenamento interno de minha Mi Box 4k. Compatibilidade perfeita!

Lo que me atrajo más de este producto fue la marca, es de las más fiables para dispositivos de almacenamiento. La transferecia de datos desde/al pendrive es muy rápida.

I have previously purchased Kingston USB devices and found them to be very strong. I wanted a USB so that I could put important Power Points on and access them quickly as my other USB that has lots of folders on itThis is very good for that. It is strong and has good speed. However if you have confidential data on your USB it is better to buy another Kingston USB that has a password on it.

questa chiavetta"Kingston DataTraveler Elite G2 DTEG2 PenDrive da 64 GB, USB 3.0/3.1" come da titolo ha un ottimo rapporto qualità/Prezzo, la custodia in metallo la rende molto robusta, l'inconveniente " se così vogliamo definirlo...ad essere pignoli" lo troverei nel tappo di chiusura poichè ha un suo verso di chiusura e se lo si inserisce al contrario entra ugualmente ma rovinandosi.Per quando riguarda la chiavetta scalda leggermente ma direi che è nella norma anche percheè anche dopo ore di funzionamento la temperatura resta stabile e non crea nessun problema neanche nei test da me effettuati.Testata su pc con normali hardisk meccanici sata3, la differenza di lettura e scrittura varia parecchio a seconda se utilizzata su porta usb3. o 2.0nei test su porta usb 2.0 ho avuto una lettura max di 45 MB/s ed in scrittura di 35 MB/s tenedo presente che la usb 2.0 e max 48 MB/s direi che la trovo ottima.invece sulla porta 3.0 le cose son cambiate in lettura ho avuto max 246 MB/s e qui nulla da eccepire mentre in scrittura max 68MB/s, certo che ci sono chiavette più veloci in scrittura ma con costi molto più elevati.In conclusione in rapporto al prezzo direi OTTIMISSIMA, prodotto consigliatissimo, testato anche su pc vecchi e non ho avuto alcun problema.Per la durabilità...purtroppo e ancora troppo presto per dare una valutazione.

Avec la finition en métal, on la sent bien dans la poche, sans que ça soit trop lourd, ce n'est pas une de ces clés USB qui va lacher à la première chute, c'est du costaud. Les débits de transferts sont rapides, comme promis, un bon choix de clé USB, quand il faudra que j'en rachète je prendrai la même je pense. Après 6 mois d'utilisation je ne suis pas déçu
