ABUS Granit Victory X-Plus 68 Disc Lock

Within a week, it's lost the black paint/ coating for no obvious reason. It always seens to be covered in black graphite grease the day after, and yellow reminder ring is a fifthly black before you can work out why. Other then that, it's reassuringly heavy and the well-stitched and sturdy storage pouch attaches to the bike, securely. Its A LOT of money for what it is ( they will just cut through your brake disc anyway ) and I'd recommend the Oxford version, it's a good £30 cheaper too.

Easy fit, but i only use it when i can see the Bike as it does not stop people from lifting in the back of a van ground anchor and oxford Boss when it's in the garage, but when your sat in the caffe having a brew it's ideal because no matter where you hold it it just spins it is a great istle lock

Why did you choose this product over others?: Less chance of a quick 'attack' due to awkward shape, and doesn't take up much space when carried around. Fit: Make sure it fits the disc slots ! Lock quality: Seems to have a solid locking mechanism Build quality: Looks quite robust and should deter your average tea leaf Visibility: It is quite noticeable with the unusual shape and bright yellow marking. It's advertised as having an alarm, It hasn't.

What I liked about the Abus Disc lock was how solid it felt and easy to use you also get a flexible line to remind you that the disc lock is fitted to save you riding of and damaging your disc or injury to your self it also has a light on the key so you can see what your doing in the dark. Down size is you have to purchase a longer mushroom piece to fit a chain to it which is a good idea to save your bike being carried off.

Doesn’t fit on a r1250gs , had to swap with locks on another bike

This actual product didn’t fit my particular models brake discs, but they have a half bolt model exactly the same bar the bolt design which fitted perfectly!

I bought this and the bracket to mount to the bike. It’s a good solid disc lock that passes all of the security tests. It’s easy, once you know how, to put it on and off of the disc. It comes with the yellow warning cord to put on it and place around a hand grip. What’s not to like

Great piece of kit

This is great. Very easy to put on the bike, the yellow reminder strap works great. Feels super-solid but not obnoxious to carry on the bike. I especially like that now that I use this I don't have to engage the steering column lock so I can leave the bike pointing forward which makes it easier for my cover to fit well.

As expected - pretty compact (can fit with its pouch under motorcycle seat), seems sturdy, secure and doing its job after 3 years. The only complaint could be that the "reminder strap" that you connect/stretch to the handlebar could be at least a bit longer - it reaches the handlebar, but a bit more length could be practical

Great lock....with this being my second purchase of this particular lock (for another motorcycle). The only criticism is the stiffness of the lock's components, which I am hoping will loosen up with time and use.
